The uruguayan rugby team not only describes how human flesh tastes, but how each individual organ tastes, and at each stage of decomposition Hotwater
what is this movie?? I would like to know!! Are there clips on youtube or google videos? I am really intrigued by PNG in general. I did not know homosexuality was practiced at all in PNG though (or the thought even concived). I actually thought it was almost non existant. Than again, as I said, there are hundreds of tribes there so I do not doubt it. But would be willing to bet that is a pretty unique tribe. after watching a few documentaries on PNG, a person would have to be narrow minded to view these people as savages..they are anything but! I am interested for sure!
I wonder what the spleen tastes like. Sadly most people do not watch documentaries... so I cannot appeal to them through the great cultural variety of PNG. The film is called "Keep The River On Your Right" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0206187/
I don't know about that whole first post, but... i'd definitely eat human meat if i had the chance. And i'm a pescetarian.
I think I would.. I hope I would... I just feel like I'm stealing their souls or something but I kinda want to anyway. BSR, I will donate my body to you when I die. feel free to eat it.
oh really? admittedly, I haven't watched any documentaries. but I know a dude who went to work there for two years. he lives in a fenced-in house with several guard dogs trained to attack black people. for real. whenever he goes somewhere, he has bodyguard(s) with him. he told me some of the tribals sneak into people's houses at night with machetes and such and cause a terrible mess, hence all the protection. I'm sure their culture is rich and diverse, and they have many charming features, but you could say the same thing about many cultures; Aztec, Vikings, etc.. savages? I don't know. people are people, and people are savage sometimes. as for cannibalism, I'm intrigued but not convinced. there are certainly positive things to take from it. I mean, imagine all the perfectly usable meat we stuff underground or burn up every day. on the other hand, what about people becoming unwilling meat-donors? organized criminals, kidnapping and dealing in human livestock. secret human farms, hell, government human farms. the world could turn ugly real quick if cannibalism was suddenly acceptable.
The Tribesmen of Papua New Guinea lived in relative isolation and in situ for nearly 50,000 years before European contact. Their traditions and practices which include cannibalism are ancient beyond our conception with little change over those many centuries. To try to understand them is a noble act, but to think we can break through 50,000 years of conditioning is a fool’s errand. Hotwater
It's not like it's any better right now. A strong black market for it wouldn't raise if it was legal and regulated. It would be kinda cool to be able to go to Malaysia or some country like that, pick out a baby out of a line, and have it killed and cooked for you.
Cannibalism was still a tradition in NZ i think around the 17th century... Enemies would eat each other after battles , and in some parts when they were starving they would cut off some of their own limbs and eat them.
you might be right. I don't know the current black market situation on human flesh, though I think criminal elements would sink their claws into an opportunity like this. people are a dime a dozen. I still shudder to think of human farms, government or otherwise.. and you know they'd pop up all over the world if cannibalism was commonly accepted and practiced. have you read a comic series called Transmetropolitan? if eating babies intrigues you, you might want to check it out. very fascinating books.
Are you sure its actually illegal? I have not been able to find any U.S. laws that specifically make eating human flesh a criminal act. JimmyP, I agree, Transmetropolitan is some good reads.
I'm pretty sure that it's illegal. Remember those cannibals in Germany? The one guy who did the eating was arrested and prosecuted. Yeah... I guess that the black market would florish a bit, but the key is for the market to surpass the quality of the black market, eliminating it. I'll look into Transmetropolitan. I was never big into comics, but baby eating does sound fascinating.
According to this legal news article (the German cannibalism by consent case), eating human flesh isn't a crime in Germany. http://writ.news.findlaw.com/commentary/20040108_leavitt.html Not sure if this is the same case that you are talking about. He was charged with other crimes but not specifically that of cannibalism (because it isn't illegal).
Yeah, that's the case. That's pretty damn awesome to know though. One step forward in this great revolution!
