Nobody was interested in my DIY D8 stuff... Which, by the way, they are considering banning anyways.

 

I'm still recuperating. One of the meds I'm on has some unpleasant side effects; it makes my taste buds and throat sensitive, so for now I'm not smoking pot, just doing edibles. Fortunately for me this is not a problem.

I bought some Reese's Peanut Butter Bar Mix, then it occurred to me that I can't put them in baggies because they have frosting. So I made a batch of edibles with it just for myself, keeping them in a plastic container in my fridge and eating 1 or 2 a day. Keeps my spirits up during this trying time!



But I'll make another batch of cookies for the Super Bowl and share them with my friends.

So it seems a big reason for trucker shortages and shipping backlogs is required drug testing of truck drivers. While I'm against mandatory testing, do we really want big rig truck drivers out on the highways stoned as fuck? Could also be other employer mandates, as well as crummy pay/conditions. But I'll agree, we DON'T need people high in the big rigs out there.

 

I don't think the drivers concern is so much the right to blaze behind the wheel, they just want the DOT out of their private lives a bit more.
i.e. I'd be more than happy to get a CDL and do OTR hauls BUT I'm not wasting my time getting that license if the joint I smoke on friday night is going to get me shitcanned with no CDL monday morning.

I mean how many truckers are out there sauced beyond tomorrow on jack daniels, some? sure, but probably pretty rare (And tbh I'd rather have roads full of stoned truckers than a handful of drunk ones any day of the week)

 

I have no problem with truckers who wait until they're done driving for the day before they toke up, but the drug tests will fail them the same as guys who smoke a joint while driving an 18-wheeler loaded with freight. There's no way to tell them apart until one of them crashes his truck from not paying attention or falling asleep at the wheel or showing up at his destination obviously stoned. And with a lot of states legalizing, a lot of drivers want to smoke weed, but responsibly. So they have to choose between not getting high or changing jobs. And some do opt to change jobs, adding to the truck driver shortage.

 

Gotta whole lot of trim. Just gave a lady friend of mine about 2 ounces of it and it only made a dent in my trim stash. Anyway this time someone will bake edibles for me for a change.

I'm down to 5 edibles so I'll be baking more this week. This time it will be brownies, and I think I'll add some white chocolate chips. Sound good?

 

This thread has slowed down. Seems like we've pretty well covered the issue of that wonderful weed marijuana, vast though the subject is. Still I'd like to keep it going; so perhaps we should just share our everyday experiences with pot.

I'm still recovering from my hospital stay last month and one of the meds I'm taking makes my throat sensitive so I'm not smoking, just doing edibles. I have a dab rig and I thought I'd try that since it's much less harsh than smoking bud, but no, it still bothered my throat and I coughed for a while. Oh well, at least I'm stoned. And it's back to the edibles.

 

I ended up getting a glass bong, I found a quartz nectar collector tip that fit into where the bowl sits...

I was telling the guy what I was looking for and they didn't have anything like that. Tons of stuff but I wanted a regular bong where the bowl sat off at an angle that could take some kind of dab end. They only had one bong with the angle deal. Not too fancy, thick"ish" glass, heavy base, blue and clear, bong. I didn't want the cup type dab "bowl" and they wouldn't work because of the angle. I'm digging through a small box of glass nectar collector tips and found this big one, and popped it into the bong. Guy at the smoke shop was like "Holy Shyt! That's genius" When he was setting the stuff down while the girl was ringing it up she ask why I was buying the tip... Guy says "Because he's smarter than everyone else."

So it's some kind of weird dab rig thingy that works really well. Reclaim stays dry because it collects in the flared part of the tip instead of down the stem and into the water... It does generate a lot of reclaim that is suitable for smoking again or edibles. (which I hardley ever use) Might make good "hash/not hash". It's a nice unit... they should sell them.

Did I mention that it works really well?

It's the funnel shape that catches the reclaim. Hold it with the tip down, hit it with a torch and it flows right out into a jar... Ready to use again, or for something else.
