tempted to start a new thread about this topic, but meh.. But I need some replies on this, because it's all I can think about lately and its messing me up lol

First off, I don't believe in ghosts or 'spirits and souls' or any of that crap, I believe its pretty clear that once you're dead you're dead. BUT.....

My entire life my dad has had a few stories he's always told me... I'm not going to tell them right now because I don't want this to be super long... But my whole life he has told me these stories, and my mom has been there and witnessed a few of these 'ghostly encounters'... and these stories aren't little tiny stories that could have logical explanations, they're legit full blown ghost stories where things fly off a shelf/toilets flush on their own, seeing an actual 'ghost' right there etc.... And so, my mom has always backed my dad up on these stories of course, because she was also there.

Now... My whole life i just thought they were messing with me, but my dad is so serious about it... I don't think after 19 years he'd still be messing with me...

And my mom and dad aren't together anymore of course, they haven't been for many many years... they don't like each other at all... so... why in the hell does my mom still back my dad up on these stories? When I ask her about it she just gets quiet, and you can see she actually believes it.

So like... it just doesn't make sense to me... I don't believe in this stuff, but like... they must think their stories are really true, and there's so many people that post their ghost stories online.. why would they all be making it up? For what reason? What do they gain?

Makes no sense... Because if ghosts are real... what else is real? Its just so illogical...

this summer my uncle went on and on about this story where he and my dad saw a UFO flying around one night, going behind clouds and then re-appearing a couple of mins later.

I asked my dad about it, and he said "he was stoned and thought the moon was a ufo".

I've seen a UFO in a state park. Although I was on LSD so it does discredit it. But it was like nothing I have seen before or since. It moved in a way that would defy physics.

Your parents have nothing to gain by telling you this. I believe in ghosts but I can't convince you Ortus.

most people are skeptical until they have an experience. it is understandable to be skeptical. there is room within my beliefs for the possibility of an afterlife. but i do not pretend to know.

cymbalta is an anti-depressant. I hated it. awful side effects going on it and coming off of it. it also made it extremely hard to have an orgasm...

damn you guys seem to be describing silodosin. horrible, if i had to take it for more than another week i would take my chances with the stones.

dosnt seem like it would be hard to get off of from the two people that said they were on it. why would you stay on something with horrible side affects?

See, i 100% believe in aliens... I've never seen one or a UFO, but aliens make sense. Ghosts don't really make sense though.

The only 'experience' I've had was during christmas one year, in '05 i think... I remember sitting there in the living room opening up my presents, and i kept turning around because I had that feeling something was there, you know that feeling you get when you think somethings watching you? I had that the entire time... I remember even getting up and sitting the other way, because i felt uncomfortable having my back faced that direction..

and of course my mom was taking pictures and videos of us opening our presents like she always did when we were little... and well, that night my mom went on the computer to put the pictures on there, and one of the pictures she didn't even remember taking, it must have been an accident, none of us were in it.. it was just a bunch of torn up wrapping paper on the floor.. but you could see the kitchen in the background, and there was something standing there...

In the picture you can very clearly see a person kneeling on one knee, the body, arms, head, etc.. but the face was blurred out, and it had 2 big red blurry wings.... I probably still have this picture

I played it off as nothing, because i know how cameras mess up and cross images from time to time, or lighting can mess it up, etc... there's tons of logical explanations... but man, that feeling... thats the only part that makes me think "what if.."

but thats not enough to convince me, because cameras aren't reliable when it comes to this

not ghosts but ghost like beings make sense to me. if a group of energy comes together but without the carbon base to make it something you can touch you will have your ghost...now i dont believe that those groups of energy are formally living people but there could be some electrodes or whatever from a formally living person involved.
