Hey Hey Peeps!

Stupid lightening storm took out the phone line late Friday/early Sat...days ago.


The AT&T dude walked around this afternoon for a while before he determined it was "nicked" somewhere underground...do ya reckon he has x-ray vision?!? Anyway, moments before I had to leave to go to work, we had a phone line...and therefore I knew when I got home I'd have internet.

I'd begun to wonder if I should just go ahead and try to get hooked up with the mental health people if I wasn't going to be able to get HERE to hf soon!

 

About American Idol, which I don't watch...I remember there was a female named Fantasia...can't forget that name.


I have to be BACK at work AT 8am. So, yes, I need to be here right now just about like I need a hole through my head.

 

Phone call from a 6 island number. Great.

I had a tool once...a fluke meter that you connected to lines and it would tell me if any of the conductors were damaged and how far down the wire the damage was...he probably used one of those or something similar

 

I'm sure I'd have a blast.

I can see me wanting to get braided up like Bo Derek...oh my, that movie is probably too old for some of you to relate to. Anyway, she was a "10".

Even if McDs is killing me with bronchitis and flu-type stuff, I'm losing weight and looking better overall than I did a year ago. Not sure how that works...lol

 

Phone guys have a Listening device and a signal generator... Apply signal and walk the line until it stops... Break is right there.

He had a what appeared to be a backpack full of equipment (something was in that pack anyway) and he was holding something in his hand - occasionally - as he walked around the property for at least 45 minutes. lol

Maybe he was testing his ESP and then verifying it with an actual tool? lol

Now that sounds like what he tried to say. But you know he wasn't able to be as clear about it as you, Ty. Plus he had to know I saw him walking and walking and walking. I think he needed to make it look or sound a bit more difficult than it probably was.

I think the worse thing for him was it was windy and coldish.

 

The phone guy had to find a break in my line back in June and that's what he was using.

 

woo hoo. finished getting those pivots, tucked the boy in, and then had to avert a minor disaster. got showered in glass in the process. kid broke his ceiling light cover, almost all the way through. if it had given way it would have exploded all over the room (hardwood floors) so now his room is way too bright, and i have to find some sort of replacement.

This home I live in has those old glass light covers over the center light in the ceilings. At this point, many of the center lights don't work. In the past (years ago) I tried several times to find replacement covers for 2 ceiling lights for a couple of rooms. I eventually found something at Goodwill that would cover the bare bulb; but, we've never used either ceiling light again since the "replacement cover" was plastic. I didn't think that would end pretty.

 

i havent broke the glass yet...but those blades on my ceiling fan have needed to be re-straightened lots of times...i keep snacking my knuckles on them when i take my shirt off

tall man..low ceiling...the fan always wins

 

it does give me an opportunity to replace it with something themed. his room will be " forest moon of endor" plus night sky. i will just have to make it the death star or something.
