smoked a bowl on highway yesterday at 7am going to work... turn off highway on back road to job site. got a foot of fresh snow to drive in, was great and once 3 miles in you go past main residential area... and I think it had 3rd or 4th tracks.. best 4x4 drive this winter for sure.

get off work.. all plowed and nice.. lame...

our cc through our bank is 8% interest, but the payments are skwed so that minimums wont kill us, right now its about $100/month for that, $200 for the holiday loan, $770 for the mortgage. but we had 6-8 cards we were consolidating, so it does save us money.

    # shit they should have taught us in school

My bank sent me a letter the other day telling me that they're lowering the rate on my other line of credit to 3.5% from 8.5%... I left it open but hadn't used it, so I used it to pay off my wife's student line of credit that had a rate of 5%. 1.5% savings for 6 months isn't huge, but it's still money in my pocket instead of the bank's :)

it's really interesting knowing most of the friends you had when you were ten are doing heroin now. I really could have ended up in a different place.

I'm sorry for everyone's losses :grouphug:

The sun just came out after an incredible bout of rain.

are you with a bank or a credit union? we have a CU, its not a short drive if we have to go down there on a day off, but its on the way to other errands. they are small, the rates are good, and one of our accounts is a money market that makes like 40-50% as long as the balance in that account stays under $500. so as long as we keep an eye on it. it never gets close to a point where we have to pull money out before we trigger a lower gain, but it has saved us many times with $80-100. i have been with really shitty banks before. ill go out of my way for a good financial establishment. i had one bank that wouldnt let me deposit money into my account, because i hadnt used it. because i hadnt had a job, so there was no money going in. i just wanted to deposit birthday money.
and then there was navy federal. they destroyed my credit. i paid them, and they put it in the computer as 90+ days late, because the person i talked to never talked to the next person. i hate them. we paid that card off with the cc from our credit union. fuck them. i swear at the commercials when they come on.

i cant wait to be out from under the debt. should be able to get out from under it much faster now. then i can do stuff to help people. to achieve goals. to pad a hard landing. we have never had that. and im so disorganized that with less bills coming in, there is a lot less to misplace or forget. or clutter surfaces. and i need to start driving soon, even though i dont want to, so i will need to find a vehicle.

Better, but we've been moving further towards an American-style system. Hell, our government just passed new laws making it illegal for medical marijuana patients to grow their own - they now have to buy it from a private company.
