This deals with the results of DNA testing on 73 people from that ancient period. "The researchers also studied the relationship of the Canaanites to modern-day populations. While the direct contribution of the Canaanites to modern populations cannot be accurately quantified, the data suggest that a broader Near Eastern component, including populations from the Caucasus and the Zagros Mountains, likely account for more than 50 percent of the ancestry of many Arabic-speaking and Jewish groups living in the region today." Who were the Canaanites? New insight from 73 ancient genomes
So the Middle East belongs to Russia then ??? And since thousands of years ago, the Americas were populated by people crossing the land bridge from Kamchatka to Alaska and down into Canada, the US, mexico and further South, it could be said that Russia owns all this too !!!
They actually did, and we bought part of it for about 7 million dollars quite a while back. It's just on the other side of the Yukon from here, but it's a pretty massive chunk of land. Also, some of those early American settlers came over on boats long before the Europeans did, and even earlier than the Vikings.
the point of this eludes me as humans started out in ethiopia tens if not hundreds of thousands of years before they ever reached azurbejzhan.
Yes. The more closely you look into what the history books try and teach us the more lost and confusing history really is.
To me, the most interesting question is the extent to which the Israelites were genetically related to the Canaanites. The Bible suggests the Israelites came originally from Mesopotamia via Egypt and conquered the indigenous Canaanite population. Modern archaeology suggests that the Israelites were Canaanites who settled in the central highlands and became culturally differentiated from the rest, with possibly some infusion of immigrants from Egypt.
