Back in the day, there used to be moderate and even liberal Republicans it was possible to compromise with. I didn't like the Bushes, particularly G.W., and John Boehner, and John McCain but they had some honor, integrity, and patriotism and weren't beyond the pale in terms of cooperation for the common good. Those were the days! But as Boehner says in his recent book, those days are past and the party is in the hands of slime balls like Trump, Cruz, Jordan, Gaetz and the crazies. He thinks even Reagan would have a hard time getting re-elected with that crew. Deplorables is too mild a term. .

Well, it turns out a black male student was responsible for the racist graffiti, MLive reported in a separate story. Albion police brought in the 21-year-old for questioning Tuesday, and he admitted to creating most of the graffiti, Chief Scott Kipp told the outlet, adding that video evidence from Albion's Campus Safety Department confirmed the student's statements.

I truly believe that we should ALL be cognizant of the big picture here. Like so many other "civilizations" that fell ......... the ROT comes from within. We ALL should read this article published in "The Week". About half the U.S. seems to want an authoritarian dictatorship - as evidenced by their support of, and belief in, overturning and overthrowing a freely and FAIRLY elected government. Keep your eyes on world news and military moves by Russia and China. Likely soon-to-be German Chancellor supports Putin and Russia's occupation of Crimea and the Russian government. Chancellor Angela Merckel is stepping down and won't run again. She's been staunchly pro-Western Democracy and the new guy isn't. He's pro-Russian. He also doesn't want NATO around.
