Can You Forage for Magic Shroomies?

I would love this answer from someone with experience and if so, how do you find out what is safe, where to find them, etc. Is there a field guide?

 

Look in fields with cowpies after a rain.
If you find some, press the stems.
If they look bluish, you found some.

Better to have someone who knows where to find them and what to look for. Or get a good field guide and learn which mushrooms are poisonous in your area.

Usually the ones in cowpies are not going to kill you, but the might make you sick if you don't clean them or eat too many.

In some states and countries you can buy them in a store.

 

Thanks for responding. I was hoping there was another way. I'm not interested in that particular method and also not really close enough to any cows.
If only lived somewhere that sold them in stores! :O
