Ok, here's the deal, so listen up. One average deposit of Semen (5cc or one tablespoon) has about 3-4 million Sperm cells in it. But 98% of the slippery goodie is support and transfer factors. And most of the little guys will get carried out as you ladies drain it out. BUT!.... A few hundred thousand out of 3,000,000 will find the cervical opening and make the 1/2 inch trip up into your uterus. From there, they are chemically-welcomed and are programmed to head up-stream, into the two Fallopian tubes. At the end of each sits an Ovary. The now-happy Ovum moves down to the Uterus and looks for a place to implant and continue on. But 'The Pill' or IUD keeps this from happening, and the next monthly 'lady-cycle' flushes everything out. Good so far?

Ovulation is usually 14 days after the onset of the previous 'Period' and then the Ovum is traveling down the tube and viable for 4-5 days. This is the basis of the 'Rhythm Method' used by traditional Catholics and others. It requires careful timing and discipline.(However, these people are also know as "Parents".)

So, even with 'The Pill' or an 'IUD', to avoid preggers, with each deposit, some few thousand of the mans' sperm are gonna make it up deeper into the lady-belly, and be swimming, searching for three days. Some ladies find this highly rewarding from a female view. As in, "He had me for ten minutes, I've got him for three days."

On a personal note, as I've posted elsewhere, my wife, before 'us' and married 36 yrs, had only one guy. Sorry if this is technical, but it's factual.

To be more specific: Ladies vaginal fluids are slightly 'acidic' to prevent infections (which warm, dark, moist areas are prone to). I, however remain ignorant about the workings of the female sexual organs and certainly would never stretch to giving advise or real opinions on my take of sexual interaction.
