Im beginning to feel like the modern day medical doctors are becoming more like faith-healers anymore. We are disguising things to look hi-tech and scientific when it really isn't. And if you get something from someone in a lab coat in a flashy looking hospital or doctor's office you feel better due to placebo. I think anti depressant therapy and anti phsycotic stuff is mainly what is "treated" with placebo. Basically all you have to do is go in and say your sad to a doctor and they will hand you their happy pills and send you home. They did their job and made money. They give you the feeling that all the "science" going on in the facility is really going to work for you. Just like during the cave-man days you had people bouncing around the campfire with little objects and stuff to please the gods are going to heal you. We see all the great things science has done in the last 100 years and now lay people are being scammed everyday by all this "science". Just like in the cave man days we were all being scammed by "magic".
What does it take to be a professional? You go through school and pass the tests read the books. But does this REALLY mean that you ARE indeed capable as a medical professional. You know what I think? I think that it really doesn't(now I could start a whole new thread on the education system). I feel that many people these days are getting the same placebo that "science" pills are giving them from their education. You get the degree, and so you believe that you are what your degree says you are. I got a degree in the medical field, but after working in the field employers began to realise that I just really didn't have it in me. I passed multiple choice question tests, and sometimes I feel like perhaps I was just too honest to allow a piece of paper to determine that I was greater than mortal men. Deep inside I knew I wasn't doing a good job but suspended the disbelief and played the game. I got out of that game and I feel better. But now I wonder... How many medical doctors are still running around playing the same game?

There are doctors who have a passion for healing people, and there are doctors who get the piece of paper and want to make money. You can tell who is who pretty easily after a few office visits. The paper doctors do know how to dispense medications and may fool some, but the real doctors dispense something additional from inside themselves that heals just as effectively as the drugs.....

Nobody should automatically trust a person in a white coat aka medical doctor. The life expectancy of doctors is somewhere in mid fifties. They only believe what the pharmaceutical companies tell them to believe. Big pharma runs the show and has a product to sell. The doctors are the person there to sell their products aka pills. Big Pharma rejects natural homeopathic medicine for a reason, that doesn't make them profits. Doctors are shills of the insurance companies/big pharma. Doctors are like any other group of people, whole lot of losers, only a few winners.

Homeopathy is rejected by the scientific community at large for the reason that it's pure pseudoscience, the theory completely lacks biological plausibility
and statistically Homeopathic treatment works no better than placebo.

We have to. We don't have a good alternative.

I'm not saying all doctors are the same. Check some references, and go to a reputable practice in a real city, not out in the middle of nowhere. The best doctors go where there is real money to be made. If you lose confidence in your doctor, switch to another one.

    Exactly.

Really, because the doctors in Japan prescribe mushrooms to treat cancer and insurance pays for it. So you're wrong, sorry?

    Ganoderma

Japanese pharmaceutical companies have refined it to medical quality and it has been approved by the Koseisho Health Department in Japan for insurance medicine.

'western' medicine refines plant extracts, too. It's not quite the same thing as 'prescribing mushrooms' / 'Homeopathy ' is it?

western medicine is death medicine. Sure there are some amazing technologies that have cured some diseases and treated many others but go to japan, they don't get sick and live to be about 100. They don't take pills and listen to american doctors, then why are they so healthy? (at least before fukushima) go figure..

    Insurance coverage
As of April 2000, the National Health Insurance Reimbursement List included 147 prescription kampo formulae and 192 herbal materials used in prescription kampo formulae. Acupuncture, moxibustion, Japanese traditional massage, and judotherapy are also covered by national health insurance (238).

(I'd like to perform some judotherapy on someone...

to VP I prescribe a good hard seoi nagi followed by an extended shimewaza, 3 times a day or as needed until obstinacy subsides...lol)

not really....second and evn third opinions are always a good idea if you get some diagnosis.......There are good doctors and bad doctors.....as in everything......and you got to keep looking for the good ones.....I find that the doctors that listen to what I have learned about eastern medicine and natural remedies are the best and most open minded about always learning.... and if they are not I have no time for them....

I am pretty lucky right now with doctors and a wonderful dentist, I might add.....who relies on me to praise him to the heavens and kss him on the cheek every time I leave....maybe that is why he keeps me coming back so many times.......chuckling here.....

I am gonna chime in here, yes real doctors can help if they are the ones to be trusted but many push samples because there is money in handing out samples. My doctor got caught up in a scandal and after he did some time out as ordered he came back a Different guy. Still seems knowledgable but on a short wire now so some people kinda hate going into him.
Will he downgrade to a careless one? Maybe, already he doesn't seem to have the bedside patience he had before.
I thought he was awesome before a woman went to make him a bad name in the name of sex and took a year of his practice away from him. I feel bad for him but I have to look out for me.
If any woman wants to know what cure I found many years ago that made my life a living heaven compared to most women then PM me, it's probably not going to work for a hundred per cent of all women but it did me a world of good, suggested by a BF who knew his shit and that,,, is what got me into natural medicine. Had loads of success with many products even tho there was a day I said it's all caveman shit we have to pay for, just another market to buy into.
Open your eyes and do some research before just blasting it all to hell. You might become smarter then your own doctor.
And as far as other medical issues I was born with I should be (according to my medical doctors) in a wheelchair right now. I even bought a few second hand ones and built my own Cadillac of a wheelchair because I was told this, so that come the day my family wouldn't have to struggle to find me a nice one I could live in. I can walk three miles in a day, my wheelchair waits in the basement still.
I won't say I cured myself but I have delayed progress a great deal and it's due to my research and doing what helps.

My general doctor is female and Asian, so of course she always likes to hear about Eastern medicine. She is excellent.....

i dont believe in any doctors i believe they lie and get payed to do a job a parent should know how to take care of unless they do need medicine which i belive we dont need most medicines or vaccines. your body has things to fight off most things so why take something that makes you feel better at the moment but makes it were it destroys your natural healing processes.

Doctors simply do not know shit about nutrition, because modern medicine is based around the treatment -- not prevention -- of illnesses. Because of this, I really find it hard to have any respect at all for doctors, and see them simply as pushers for the drug companies. Even the ones who are well-meaning have been completely brainwashed by the system, which relies on keeping people sick in order to maintain its profit margin.

If people ate the right things, the need for doctors and pharmaceutical drugs would be so drastically reduced that many of the drug companies would have no other option than to go out of business.

Most of the problems that afflict people in modern society (obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer etc.) are directly related to diet. If people simply cut sugar out of their diet, we would see an improvement of the overall public health that would be monumental. There would be a HUGE reduction in the need for medical treatment right across the board.

I agree, PR.......mostly, but one has to see someone sometimes.......maybe......maybe not...I have not had any real issues besides lyme's disease and injuries from falls......
One incompetant doctor killed a relative, so that is why my mom never trusted any of them, and when she did go in the 80's and early 90's....they made her worse....so in the end, when she should have been with one....she refused any......
