Without going into opinions I have just never understood how someone can make something like Chamber music. It is just too beautiful for words. Like how can someone think of that? Nothing I ever do will be that beautiful. I'm not jealous cause I can't make it, I am jealous because it is something I will never understand.
Music to be played within in a small surrounding - i.e a parlour - or, chamber, by a close circle of friends that could produce a simple song for pleasure. I guess
Really it's about 2 things - technical skill and inspiration. Some have more of one than the other, but to compose music you do need both. I'm an admirer of a lot of classic art. I know I will never do anything with art myself, because I simply can't draw. Some people seemingly come into this world with certain gifts. Look at a Mozart or a Leonardo. But they still have to acquire technique.
I love classical music, especially the romantic period. My favorite composer is Ludwig van Beethoven. He composed this when he became deaf!!!
