Can somebody explain death to the ego to me?

Well of course, the actual ego death was ineffable, needless to say. But I remember the experience surrounding it, especially what felt like a rebirth. Oh how so strange this life can be at times.

 

Thanks so much, I will do that next time, I might wait until summer to trip again, I don't want to trip to often and ruin it for myself.

Ego death is the apparent path to liberation and awakening and psychotropic drugs may offer a glimpse of this but from a distorted perspective. Not to suggest there is not value here but rather there is a difference between learning how to climb a mountain and earning your way to the summit vs a helicopter ride of a tourist. Granted the view would be the same however you arrived at the summit but if you have no capacity to understand to grasp the experience in any meaningful manner it is all to easy to fall back into delusion.

Certainly though it can help inspire you to want to learn how to climb and to see that there is truth beyond the limited perceptions we shape our reality with now.

 

I just read every page and every post. I've never droped cid before, and the other day I just bought myself a tab. I'm putting myself in this mindset for the past couple of days and I want to keep building up to this great mindset. Reading all these interesting posts keep my mind wondering and I love it.

 

Don't be disappointed if it doesn't happen for you, you will have fun, but you only will be on one hit.

 

As long as my trip isn't all screwed up like my shroom trip, then I won't be dissapointed! Really just aiming for a positive trip !
