I wouldn't lie...you are right, I'd love to be out there shakin' my groove thing. We don't get a whole lot of those concerts out here on the Pacific coast, at least none as big with as many groovin' bands.

 

well i will be sure to take lots of pics for you...i can video tape some stuff for ya too...anyone in particular you would care to see?

I don't need the video, but if you have time, just get some shots of all the bands, that'd be cool with me. Just so I can soak up some of the environment.

Hey there, Matt. I live in the greater seattle area and have seen some great fests this year. We went to the Northwest Folklife Festival - mucho fun. Then a couple of private ones - Oracle Gathering and Critical Mass (Seattle's regional burning man). Some friends just got back from the Oregon County Fair in Eugene, (pictures pending from Fleassy and Jaycee). In August there's a music festival on Alki Beach. I'll have to look up the date for you. And weekend of August 20 and 21, there's the Hemp Fest at Myrtle Edwards Park. And Labor Day weekend, there's Bumbershoot. That list doesn't include some of the music fests put on a the local venues, like the Gorge, or White River Ampitheater. You just gotta look around.

Oh, I know about Folklife and Hempfest - I just avoid them. 95 was the last year I attended either of them due to the infestation of negative energy and corporate sponsorship. I stick to Wintergrass and local open mics mainly now. My point was just that you don't get bands like Moe., Yonder Mountain, and the like all in one spot too often up here.

 

But I thank you Tarabelle, please do keep me posted on other going's on...I'd love to meet up and shake our groove thang together!

 

Oh, sure, no problem. The one at Alki is August 12 - 14. It sounds like it will a good one, music wise.
