What are they yeilding per plant in average in CO? If I had money I'd move, it's going to be a long minute for Ohio to change.

what's the point of running a buisness, if one cannot profit from it? I suppose that's worse than an oversized, federal government monopolising on insurance, then turning around and profiting off of it, right?

Sanders joined The Young People's Socialist League which from my research was anti Communist and pro civil rights.
He briefly worked for The United Packinghouse Workers Union who were also pro civil rights and were accused of having Communist members by the infamous House Committee on Un-American Activities. You know.... the originators of the Hollywood blacklist. They were denounced by President Harry S. Truman in 1959 as the "most un-American thing in the country today."[23]
It was a farce, no one in the Union was ever prosecuted. ~1

And so on.....but we can expect these attacks to intensify as the Republicans shift their mud slinging machine from Hillary to Bernie.

Same old technique, throw a bunch of lies and innuendos out to the public with little bases in facts and then make the candidates have to defend their records.
We've seen the Republican's dirty tricks with Harry Truman, Helen Douglas, Claude Pepper, Martin Luther King Jr., Bobby Kennedy, Alan Dixon, John Conyers, Paul Newman, Bill Cosby, Jane Fonda, Steve McQueen, Barbra Streisand, Daniel Ellsberg, Edmund Muskie, George McGovern, Jimmy Carter, Mark White, Ross Perot, Ann Richards, Anita Hill, Bill and Hillary Clinton, John McCain, Al Gore, Valerie Plame, and John Kerry..to name a few.

    Now they'll go after Bernie.

Read this article that explains how they work. It's long as they have a looong track record.

They even investigated the Clinton's family cat "Socks" at one time!

Let's just privatize everything. All public highways, public fire and police departments, the military, Medicare, Medicaid, public schools, Social Security, prisons, state and federal parks and museums, etc. etc.

Lots of money to be made, money money money that's what it's all about!!!

And look at all the profit the government makes off of those things!!!!!!

All governments are are for profit organizations, yes? [IMG]

Hell Sanders hits multiple Pavlovian alarm bells many Americans have been taught to listen out for since the 1940’s (if not before).

I wish Bernie were just a bit younger. My biggest fear other than anyone else being elected is that he might died before serving two terms. I support Sanders on more issues than any President we've had in my life. He appears to be a legitimate person with a wife and family that parallels that of many average Americans. Blended, working class, self made; his wife would make an excellent First Lady. They understand what it's like to go without; how many of the other candidates can really say that?

One thing I haven't seen much of from people online is urging others to register and VOTE. Please vote. Vote for Sanders. If you really can't swing left then I don't know what to tell you because all of the conservatives sound like the same crap we've been chewing for decades.

Ask you friend to vote, take your grandmother with you. Voter turn out should be higher this year than it has been in a long while given the the course of things during the last 20 years.

Vote Vote Vote. After you vote, join a group that serves your beliefs, don't sit and wait for something good to happen. Be active. Be revolutionaries!

^as far as his age that is something I think about too, and I also fear for what has come before with other political leaders who showed Sander's level of integrity and weren't afraid to stand up to the establishment.

But I really hope that doesn't discourage people from voting for him as I trust he will select a running mate who shares his values and high level of integrity.

Plus, even if he only serves one term it will be enough to bring the nation back to the left a bit.

what's the point of making everything have to be about money, if it screws over the planet, and every thing that has to live on it, including humans?

I agree with you here, Meliai, 100%......He is the integrity this country needs.....

and as far as you others constantly knocking this country from other countries, good....stay out of here. We don't want you here......there are enough people flocking here turning this country into a cesspool....so stay in your own damn country and mind your own country's business....as i have said all along we should do....and mind our own.

the topic question doesn't make a whole lot of sense. he's more what america can afford, then anyone else in the running. the so called right is offering nothing but obstruction and destruction.
(and trying to hide the fact that they're doing so by wrapping themselves in the shroud of turin or something).

Things like the various sports programs and band is what I'm referring to. Sports aren't going anywhere at most U.S colleges.

With Clinton holding a commanding lead in South Carolina we will likely not have to concern ourselves with whether we can afford Bernie Sanders
    2/14/16 Clinton still leading

In the Democratic race, frontrunner Hillary Clinton still holds a double-digit lead — 55-34 — over U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, according to a separate poll of 525 likely Democratic primary voters.
Sanders and Clinton are tied among white S.C. voters, the poll said. But Clinton has a strong lead among African-American voters, expected to make up more than half of Democratic primary voters. Among those voters, 63 percent said they back Clinton compared to 23 percent for Sanders.
Fourteen percent of black Democratic voters said they were undecided.
Sanders has managed to close the gap on Clinton, according to the poll. In November, Clinton led Sanders 86-11 among African-American voters.

how to make music is a legitimate academic subject for those who wish to study it. sports is a bottomless pit, into which colleges and universities are forced to throw more then a third of the pittance they exist on into.

When Bernie mentions "Free College Education" note that he's talking about community colleges which don't have sports teams or other "fluff" that would need to be cut. If someone can afford it or feels the need they can pay for their education at a state or private college.

It seems you're not grasping the exact meaning of the concept non profit.

When you read how Bernie Sanders plans to pay for it all, it's surprisingly simple and achievable. For the most part, it's just rich people and corporations paying their fair share. Very little that affects the poor or middle class. So, if we can get more young people to vote, we can do it.

How Bernie pays for his proposals:

Well, for one the government can't earn a profit in the same way a business can. There are no shareholders. They CAN mismanage money and invest money back into government programs that benefit the military industrial complex instead of the American people. which is why I'm voting for sanders.

Secondly, you're absolutely right that the sole point of running a business is for profit. Some companies do actually hold other values dear as well and treat their employees very well, give back to their community, etc..but the bottom line will always be profit. Which is why insurance companies shouldn't exist at all. The idea of healthcare being a for profit business is absolutely ludicrous isn't it?
