Give me a break. New Mexico cops have gone full tilt bozo. They produce their own stress. If they spent more time as cops and less as political pawns maybe they could handle stressful situations without killing everything. Piss poor excuse. re·ac·tion·ar·y citizens my ass. Cops are picked having lower IQ's to maintain the military discipline of not questioning authority. Same reefer madness idealism and a common unjustified hatred for poor people, especially homeless. Bring back cops who are known in communities and observe citizens rights more than their desire for advancement or kissing the DA's butt. Getting merits on more arrests regardless of innocence. Less SWAT more Peace Officers. The reason they are so gun ho against legalizing is it gives them a false excuse for probable cause. All cops are just tax paid public servants doing a job and no reason whatsoever to make them out to be hero's. Or infallible. Yes another case of death by uppityness. Not surprising seeing how utterly paranoid they get over legalizing pot. Question is whether they are capable enough to carry loaded weapons. Here is the attitude of NM cops…

I find it interesting that right next door in Arizona where no permit needed to carry concealed the police are much more careful and polite. My wife and I spent most of the past seven years living in our van at Walmart and we had several encounters with the police and were treated politely. I have long hair and a beard to my waist and although I stood my ground firmly but politely I was always met with equal politeness.

The fact that I'm fair sized vet may have a bit to do with it, but we ate and worked at the local soup kitchen and saw fewer examples of police beatings than we saw in our years in San Francisco.

 

The craziness is everywhere! In Georgia the police pull a gun on an eleven year old who was building a fort in the woods.

Question for anyone who might want to answer it: if it was you, would you have called the police?

I wouldn't.

 

Everything's illegal nowadays.

It doesn't surprise me how, despite police training and psychological examinations they must go through to become a certified officer, the tazer-happy, trigger happy, pepperspray happy, meat heads slip through the cracks.

 

I would have walked back there and talked to the boys. I would have found out who owned the property.

If it was my property and I wanted them to stop, I would have told them so and walked them out.

If it wasn't my property, then I would have minded my business and let the kids have fun.

This is the county I live in.

The only thing that I can think of that would have caused an officer to pull a gun would be if the boys were "armed" with whatever they were using to cut limbs off trees.

An experienced officer would have taken it easy and just talked to the boys.

I suspect the officer feared for their safety, or that they were being dramatic and wanted it to appear that they reason to be fearful.

 

I don't want to go camping anymore! I used to have to worry about wolves eating me while I camped on land. Now I have to worry about people killing me! :banghead: Out here were I live the police used to leave people naked in the bush. They also have abused and beat me without cause. :beatdeadhorse5:

 

And as if that wasn't bad enough, now the sky is falling too! You believe this? What's a guy to do? Pretty soon nothin'll be worth doing..
