I was born and raised in San Jose. Lived their for 14 years back in the 60's-70's. Also lived a couple of years in Fair Oaks, suburb of Sacramento. I now reside in Las Vegas. San Francisco is the most beautiful city in the world. Also, since I am now closer to Southern Cal, I like going to Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead. But one of the most beautiful spots I have seen is Morro Bay.
Cherry Valley here. Kinda in the low mountains near Beaumont/Banning about 15mile or so from Riverside but only 6-8 from Redlands. I like it here-the air is cleaner (even if all those stupid track houses are coming up further down the road) and most my neighbors are overrun in greenery & animals. hiya to all the riverside/sanberdo locals!
:bandana: Origonally from Red Bluff, in NorCal, but I live in this wasteland called texas. Love to see if anybody is from Red Bluff or anyplace around there.
awesome... i wonder if i was at the beach last friday.. i think i might have been. santa cruz is sooooo lovely right now. everything is blooming. inclueding the evil poison oak! my 4yr old and I went out into the forest (state park) and cleaned up TWELVE dollars worth of recyclable trash. there are still 8 full/unopened beers down there.
I installed a phone system for the CHP in Pismo Beach back in the late 80's. There was a nice restaurant with a beach patio, served the best Clam Chowder I've had to date. Can't remember the name of the place though.
Not sure th eplace even exists anymore. It's been so long since I was there. I know the CHP Station is still there, but Restaurants come and go.
You really aren't missing much. I've been in California for years with only short time spent in Idaho. The coolest thing is striking out in California's real estate market, not finding something you liked, not having enough for something you liked, not wanting to build something you don't like prefab within your budget, and then discovering Las Vegas for $500,000 less than that!
