Sorry I didn't post this over in the toy section. But that place doesn't seem to have a lot of traffic. Butt plugs, the really sexy stainless steel type. I've owned them in the past and have found the sharp edges around the base to be a deal breaker. The heart shaped bases are going to be out of the question I'm sure. I'm a size queen and very accomplished when it comes to anal. It's not uncommon for an anal toy worn by me to slip up inside completely and that's not a concern of mine. I know how to get them out. I just need a stainless plug where the edges are smoother and rounder. I don't need to get a cut down there. Does anyone want to recommend a toy from their collection. And BTW, the reason I want stainless over silicone is I love the feeling (lately) of petroleum jelly up my ass (nostalgic) and that'll play well with the stainless. I'll go glass as well!!!
I don’t like silicone plugs at all. I only use glass. I use petroleum jelly with them all the time. So I’m tossing in a vote to Go Glass. Good luck!
I've learned that Petroleum Jelly can be harmful, so I changed over to KY, or other water-based Lubes. I also don't use Silicone of Latex. But Glass doesn't allow the toy to have functionality. TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) is used in medical equipment and considered safe for intimate use. The plug I use is covered in it, and has Vibrating, Heating and Thrusting functions.
Can you remember a brand of toy you bought? Can you recommend it for not being sharp around the edges?
Legit concern. I’m always very careful with mine. If I were to drop it I wouldn’t take the chance of using it anymore since it might have a chip or crack I can’t see. That fact does make metal look more favorable but I haven’t tried metal yet. I might do so some day.
My friend and I have fun with plugs but you're so right in that you kind of have to either get lucky or try a lot. She had never done anal anything until her mid forties. My absolute favorite SS toys are from njoy. My favorite of theirs is the large Pure Plug for regular wear. When I want something bigger (it's been awhile honestly) I go with the Pure Plug 2.0, it's 2 inches in diameter and heavy. I love it, but it's been a long while since I've used it because I need to work on stretching again. For me it's big, for a "size queen", well, only you can decide. Beyond that, I recommend the aluminum electrode plugs from e-stim Systems. They aren't as heavy as SS, but are quite "filling", I wouldn't even consider their largest. And no, you don't need the e-stim box to have fun with the plugs from e-stim, but the box does make things more fun.
I stick to silicone ones. Just make sure the base is big enough to not cause an issue. Fishing one out is no fun
The first time I took my friend to buy ass toys, she was relieved to see that they had a base on them. She was imagining that they would just be like a vibe and she was secretly worried that I would put it up there and it would disappear. She was opting for a long one to help prevent that. In the end, she did go for a long and thinner one and took it quite well.
