I'm not going to defend other people's ignorance of our history of accepting help.

 

I'm hoping at least ONE good thing will come of this horrible tragedy.

I hope the history books see Katrina as "The Storm That Brought Down a President." We can only hope. In the meantime, I'm sending more money to the Red Cross.

 

YEAH!!!! We need to put Dubya IN the water, helping people himself. He is always talking about "a lot a hard work" in a manner which tells everyone he is asounded anyone could DO "A lot a hard work" as he has never done any in his life. Everything has been handed to him on a silver platter, he has NO concept of what it is like to be poor and alone, or abandoned. HE should be helping out.
But, he won't. Heaven forbid he get his $9,000 suit dirty.
