For a moment there, I thought the White House spokesmen were going to say, 'This Bud's for You."

Every time I see him he's making another stock speech at a military base with a bunch of military people behind him, each of which has been issued a little American flag that they wave after every one of his stilted remarks.

I few weeks ago a I was reading the numbers and stats section in Time Magazine.

Time magazine had two different sets of numbers.

331:Number of days that President Reagan spent at his home in Santa Barbara during his eight years in office.

326:Number of days GW Bush has already spent at his ranch in Crawford Texas.

That doesn't include the times when Reagan was sleeping. I like to watch some of those old archives of Reagan sleeping during his meetings.

I used to like the way they'd pass the jar of jelly beans around the table to all the dignitaries. Each person would politely take a few jelly beans for himself. Only in America. :)

  9. oh, but jelly bellies are good, and many are made in vacaville (or near it) cindy sheehans home town....

    I like jelly beans. :)

I remember when Reagan turned 70 and they gave him the cake decorated with jelly beans. Johnny Carson said that the heat from all the candles melted the beans into one giant glob. :)
