Bush Coverup of WORSE Iraq Prison Atrocities!

You know, some people still believe that the Holocaust never happened. No concentration camps, no gas chambers.....maybe they believe that because there was no video to "prove" it.

 

so its ok that Bush lied to you, and the rest of the amerikan citizens?oh i forgot, sending people to fight and die so you can take power of all the oil over there makes you a good person


also, stating that "God speaks through me" makes you a good person too, doesn't it?

 

Doesn't bother me that my President is keeping wartime footage (which for all i know doesn't exist) from me. What if the footage of what we had to do on Iwo Jima came out? That would be demoralizing to the soliders. I respect your right to criticize our government and it's actions, i do so as well. But, everytime someone makes a huge public affair of anything, it always reaches the troops and gives them less reason to fight. Leave all criticism out until the war is over. Let our boys come home before you tell them they saw thier friends die in vain.

 

How do you even know the tapes exist? Because someone claimed they do? No matter how credible Hersh is, he doesn't have proof without the tapes. But the government won't release the tapes, which might not even exist. So Hersh can't get any proof. So we could keep going in circles and stretch this thread out for as long as we want to (and it would be awesome for our post counts), but it won't get us anywhere.

But RA, it seems to me that you would do anything George W. said without even thinking. You cannot accept your authority figures like that, power corrupts. It's a fact. You have to think for yourself, even though this man was elected as a well respected man, that doesn't mean he's not human and make mistakes.

Umm, Bush didn't lie to any of us. He gave us info on what he was told. He and our congres made a decision based on that information. Even the liberal dumby Kerry agreed that we couldn't stand by while Sadam had wmd's. Even his cronies agreed. So why is it that everyone says "It's Bush's Fault"? And for the last time, what's with you spelling America with a freaking K?

I don't follow him like a puppy follows a little boy. I do make up my own mind. I would love to see a balsy president force companies to stop production outside of the US. There are so many things that need to be changed in the US. However, I do support helping to free a nation from a tryant. If at the end of this ordeal in Iraq we move on to another country, then I am all for it. If not, then I know that Bush and or every president after him were full of it.

 

So it is our job to move from country to country displacing all those we label tyrants?

Look, if you have a problem helping people then thats all you. If you want to continue to be a hypocrite and not help people while you cry in the streets about peace that's you. I personaly am all for helping those in need. Mission trips can only do so much. Even with donations and spending time with oppresed people you still are dealing with the oppresive leader and the fear they put into these people. Like I said, if you don't want to help others, that's your deal. I personaly support the little we can do to get rid of the Saddams and Ossama's.

 

DOn't be such an ass...I never said that I don't want to help people...But are we the deciding factor on who needs help and who does not? What about all the americans that need help while we are out in the rest of the world liberating people with violence?

Thanks for completely dismissing the point I was trying to make. It is not up to us to decide who is the tyrant, who needs liberation, and who needs help in the international commuinity. We can't jump from country to country taking people out of power and putting people in power that we deem necessary. We are not god, we don't run the world.

To say that I have a problem helping people just because I oppose jumping from country to country viloently liberating people is nothing more but throwing smoke all over the issue. The american public as a whole may fall for that type of dodging the bullet, but I do not.

 

hell yea it's bush's fault....the information he was given was credible to a point, but it was his warped interpretation of the info given to him that screwed the pooch here, since congress gave him the right to go to war at his whim he was looking for an excuse to take over iraq...the whole thing with the CIA and intelligence mess is all a coverup for what really happened....they said hey he's got some chemical weapons, maybe some germs in a lab, and is working on nuculear capabilities.....well in his mind this says....saddam has a stockpile of chemical, biological, and maybe even nuculear weapons over there and this is what was told to congress, not that they might, but that they did, of course after filtering through all that GW wanted it to filter through first...so hell yea, if i was in congress i would of voted to get rid of him too, but not until i had a solid plan for the aftermath, not until i knew i had support from the rest of the world.....thats the thing here, we went to war on doctored intel....and we will see it again, hell he's already talking about iran and syria and cuba, what the fucks gonna happen when these countries we have on our hitlist start to band together...can u say nuculear holocaust, i sure don't want to see that no time soon...but hey to each his own, i know i got a good life now and sure as hell dont wanna get drafted to go fight some BUSHIT war our fearless leader has in plan for us unless it is completely neccesary, in that case i'd be gung-ho....but not for his reasons...reasons that have no plausibility whatsoever unless you look at it from a "Get down, or lay down" perspective.....fuck that that aint rite...i got more but my boss just pulled in..

 

Grievous angel, your exactly the kind of person that makes the AmeriKKKan government so secretive, because you are one of those blind followers that just lets them get away with classifying documents for NATIONAL SECURITY, and hiding and not releasing video tapes to the public for their own secret reasons, we have to stop people from thinking like you and letting the government get away with anything they want, so what is it demoralizes the soldiers, those kids are so brainwashed into fighting for their government's personal gain that they need to see tapes like that, and realize that they shouldn't be fighting for the AmeriKKKan government's money and gain, at the end of the day, what do those soldiers gain, look at the veterans now, a large percentage of their benefits have been cut by Bush, is that what will happen in 20-30 years to the Iraq war Veterans? People need to stop letting their government keep things secret, we need to DEMAND all classified documents declassified, and DEMAND those tapes and photos of the prison abuse, so we can FINALLY see the truth.

Alright, I hate to say this, but I am agreeing with RS again. lol We need to forget the fact that we are people in different nations. We are all humam beings, and if other people need help, it is our JOB to help them. They have the right to live. That is why they were created by whatever creator you wish to believe in. But, RA, you need to know, the bullshit reason we went after Saddam is the most fucked up ever. When Bush first got into office, he addmitted that Saddam had no weapons, but after Sept. 11, he automatically has weapons, right? Also, wasn't is Bush Sr. that gave the Iraqi nation weapons? Or am I mistaking the presidents (no sarcasm)? All I know, is one of the past presidents gave Saddam weapons. There are NO ties with Saddam to Usama, so we cannot justify the war with that. Yes, he was a bad, bad man. we can all agree. But he was not tied to Al Quieda.

This war was to find Osama, Bush ave up on him and went after the oil. As for giving up on Osama, read above. And believe it or not, Bush was given faulty information. Did he overblow it to make a point and try to get Congress to approve the war? Of course he did. But every president in America's history has overblown facts for the sake of politics. Nobody realizes that the CIA and FBI are equally responsible, if not more so than Bush. So why is it that nobody wants to punish the CIA and FBI, and everyone puts 100% of the blame on Bush?

I'm not saying that the reasons Bush gave were accurate, they weren't by a long shot, but he certainly didn't just ignore Osama and jump over to Iraq for the sake of oil (althought oil may have been a part of it). Why not place the blame on everyone who deserves it, not just the one political figure whom you would want to be guilty, whether he was or not.

 

I don't care if the tapes are realeased or not. I am just making the point that MORALE should be an issue here. I said to realease them after the war. Fucking god stop your rant and rave about our government. You aren't doing a goddam thing to help, you aren't protesting the realease of them. Just out of curiosity, have you ever lived under a dictatorship? Did you ever live (not visit, because tourists get special priviledges) in a place like Iraq was, and Iran is? Ever had to worry about your phone conversations being tapped or being arrested for crimes punishable by death, which in Arizona are what we like to call "rights," but don't exist in a lot Arab countries? Ever seen a pogrom or it's equivalent conducted on members of religions not accepted by the state (i.e. anything not Islam)? Not in the U.S. that's for damn sure, but in other places that's business as usual. Just wondering if you know what it's like living under a totalitarian police state, before start speaking on behalf of millions of people whose conditions you have never had to suffer through yourself.
