i have to agree with roor, especially after my trip this past weekend. i took two strong hits, while camping with my brother in the same exact spot that we camped last year, and each also took two of the same hits. last year i got quite a body load on the come down, tight muscles, and LOTS of jaw tension - which i would describe as "dirty" (even though i don't really believe in that stuff) this trip, there was zero jaw tension, and minimal if any body load. a much "cleaner" trip, on the same exact dose, in almost identical set/settings.
I think if you are getting a taste from acid, it has very little to do with the purity (due to the potency thing as already discussed) and a lot to do with what it was dissolved in before being put on the blotter. For example a person might have tried putting the stuff in lemon juice or something retarded like that thinking that being an acid, the LSD would be better protected from degrading if it was in another acid. I mean, if it does some funky shit like numbing your tongue, then you know that shit's fucked up and it's not acid, because I mean, think about it. This is a chemical where 1/10,000 of a gram is a high dose. There's no way you could possibly be tasting the LSD. What you taste is the substrate.
i would hope that anyone with access to crystal LSD knows better than to dissolve it in lemon juice. but i've heard/read that it's dissolved in alcohol. dunno if it's true, but that could account for some taste
if we're talking meth/eth/isoprop-anol type alcohol, it should leave NO residue. I've heard of this, too. Incidentally, I read somewhere, though I have no idea where, that alcohol destroys LSD..... or changes it into something else similar. Maybe it was that it instantly transforms ALD52 into LSD.... Anyways, I, personally, would use distilled water, but what do I know.
no residue if they use 100% ethanol. but what about 80%? maybe it leaves a taste? i dunno. i just wonder WHY THE FUCK DO MY ACID TABS TASTE FUNNY? maybe they are just dirty, as in touched by too many hands.
I stand by paper. All sorts of chemicals used to make paper. It's probably MUCH more harmful than the LSD on it, even considering all the impurities, even if the acid really is "dirty". It generally has trace mercury in it, various caustic chemicals and bleaches, binders and crap.... So, it's the watercolour paper you're tasting, I think. Could be wrong though, and I admit, I do usually get pretty much the same taste from acid, on different paper and in different batches..... but this is since before nbome's existed, I THINK..... And I usually chew it up long enough to mangle the paper and get a good taste of it, and then swallow it.
Yeah I think it's the paper also. 25x-NBOME's are relatively new. It was like late 2010 or early 2011 I was reading online right when the chemical was "discovered". people on the Shroomery were saying they could see it being put on blotter and sold as LSD. A little while later and you can see that now it's become really popular. if the solvent is properly evaporated you shouldn't be able to taste it, I would think.

well so my friend has some 25i-nbome on blotters(and he actually wasn't trying to sell it as LSD). so i'm going to get a few and compare it to the blotters of orange sunshine i supposedly bought. just tripped on this stuff two weekends in a row, so i might need to wait a while. had 2 awesome trips though.
i guess so. although it is possible i have unconsciously consumed an RC along the way thinking it was LSD before i really developed a good sense of what LSD was. my friend described 1 blotter as. "it just felt like i got punched in the face with a bag of molly" another even said he liked it more than LSD because there was less of an edge there.
