Quiet, people only have the ability to bring to something that which they have in themselves only.....you take away what you bring, in other words....:)

That does sound gorgeous. We had a very ambient sunrise this morning. I think rain is coming.

i don't think i've ever seen an ambient sunrise. mine always rise in the east and set in the west.

i suppose inside of some really large construction in space you could have a dimmer to turn on your day everywhere at once.

I think I understand what you are saying, except for the taking away what I bring part.

If someone talks to me and shares their perspective on something, I generally take it in and think about it, maybe act on it - but some people --- that I'm truly trying to help make them aware of something, it's like talking to a wall. They just have to live it out, see for themselves I guess. It makes it so difficult.

Quiet, since I don't know what you are talking about.... I don't know what you are talking about....lol

I was thinkng about let's say for example 2 different people are looking at the same painting, piece of artwork...One may not relate to it at all....and the other does.....as whatever is inside each person is what they brought to the painting and the feeling they took away from it.....that is what I meant.

    ... and neither do I.

Someone I know is a young man in his 20s but still lives with his parents...His parents are very overbearing and shelter him to the extreme as if he were an adolescent in grade school, and I'm not exaggerating. (I have examples)
So he and I have these talks when things come up and I try to encourage him to respect his parents, but think like a man...be a man, be an adult.
But I get the feeling it's his comfort zone or something that is off -- and it urks me to no end.
I know plenty of guys his age or younger who live on their own and live like adults.

So when I made that post last night, he and I had just had yet another one of those talks and it just really irritates me.

    and for a Random Thought:
I'm super excited Prince is doing something with Warner Brothers...some new album....I'm super geeked about it!!! Love Prince!

i am happiest when the sounds of nature, even the sounds of transportation and infrastructure, are not drown out by the sounds of commercial so called entertainment.

to live where what you hear outside your window is not tainted by it, is fortune indeed, even for those who must live in otherwise abject poverty to do so.

i actually love the sound of trains and even cars, its television and radio and recorded music, all trying to drown each other out, all being an expression of humans pretending to be a bigger deal then everything else.

i grew up in the woods though, where you could let your hearing get hyper sensitive, so you could recognize the voices of all the little creatures and once in a while a train would go by off in the distance.

surrounded by mountains and trees, rivers in deep canions a good bit of a walk away. the railroad at its closest was half a mile. and there was an old highway, no longer a main rout, where maybe two or three times an hour, at most, on lone stray car would go by.

every kind of living thing would come by at times. undisturbed by us nor us by them.

Humans trying to be better than everything else? I don't know about that.....I think music and television are a way for some humans to communicate. We don't have to watch or listen....

I live in an exact place like you described. Have you been here?
I listen to the sounds of nature all day long and night. Nature is my church. I listen to the wind. I hear the owl, the birds, the turkeys, the coyotes and all sort of other things. I think I can even hear the flowers grow here. I am very noise sensitive. I spend most of my time in silence and solitude.....I also love to listen to music and watch some tv and come here and talk to people.....some feel like friends and an extended family here......

Reminds me of when I was little and my mom would make liver and lima beans every Tuesday...Boy, did I hate that meal.....It made me sick, so she would tell me to sit at the table until I finished....being force fed something.....and I would sit there and sit there, and when she looked away, put stuff n my napkin to throw away....LOL

Reading a Stephen King book...and it's really good.
Came to an extremely brief sex scene, which you could hardly refer to as that
    and it turned me on.
Something is wrong with me :(

    Were there two parts,Hotty?
I read that just before Christmas-it started with the light aircraft incident [don't want to ruin it for anyone not yet read it] and ended with the 'young visitors' being persuaded.

    Is there a part two?
