    ever read Henry Miller, Faerylights?

    He wrote things like Crazy Cock....woa!

    pretty unforgettable...his writings, as well.

    I tried to read Henry Miller a long time ago but I couldn't get in to him.I think I was too young.I will have to revisit.

    Bukowski is awesome. Both his poetry and fiction. He's sort of like a poor man's Raymond Carver. Just more honest and real. I suggest checking out one of the filmed biographies about him before you read his work. The crazy (he loved that word) dude's life was one of hell on earth. Yet much of his best work is both humorous and life affirming :)

    P.S. Also, might want to check out the BARFLY movie. Says a lot about his poetry/life...
