Buffalo/Niagara Falls/Western New York Family....Where are you???

I love Great Blue Heron. Although, I'm having a baby in April, so I'm not sure if i can go this year. I'm still wondering if i should take him, but i think he'll be too young (needs his beauty rest haha).

Anyway, I love western new york. there's so much beauty that goes unappreciated. Most people don't know that there's a peace labyrinth in Dunkirk. Nobody knows about the College Lodge in Brocton, the Overlook, the State Lands in Arkwright, or even just wandering the woods in Lilydale. Ahh the memories.

 

the college lodge is sooo great! I had one of the most intense spiritual experiences roaming the woods in Lilydale in winter! WNY is a great place to be. I will not be attending the heron this year either because I'm unfortunately moving to Texas for archaeology field school uggggh. I will be missing out on so much.

 

You should check out the state lands in arkwright/outside of cassadaga. It's so beautiful there. You could wander for days.

 

I will have to check it out next time I'm in town! Sounds great.

I was born and raised in buffalo, ny [blackrock/ riverside], but i currently live in the falls. i miss buffalo terribly.

I am originally from Kenmore too. I am torn on the area. I like the area, appreciate the traffic (been to enough big cities to HATE traffic jams), and don't mind the small town attitude. I just wish there was a bit more opportunity around here. Things are a bit stagnant.

Wow, I was almost sure that there wasn't any cool people in western new york... Everyone I always see at the festivals seems to disappear and never turn up till the next one. I'm in Olean newyork... Someone save me I'll drive an hour or so to hang out, I play guitar a bit. I don't mind the drive to jamestown or buffalo at all.
