    India's love affair with classic British motorbikes

    My Royal Enfield 500, back when I was well enough to ride. Wanted an old Triumph or BSA; this was the best I could afford. A great bike, I enjoyed it immensely.
    { I called her "Leigh Enfield"; hardly anyone younger than 50 understood the reference. }

    I knew that Norton was a revived brand but did not know they were in receivership. I much preferred the look of the Commando to the one sold to the police. Actually the Commando was about the same weight as the Honda CB250N.

    For English cars & motorcycles, they're not bugs. They're features.
