I have dealt with her personally and she was a complete and utter bitch. Thinks rules don't apply to her, that she is better then everyone else etc..

I'm bored with Bruce and all of his relatives. Their 15 minutes of fame were up a long time ago.

I just saw it! Yeah, he was totally honest and clear about everything. (Even being a Republican!) And I still admire him big time. I really must say, I'm almost more shocked about his politics than his transition? But people are complex. And Bruce helped to remind me of that fact. I hope after everything is said and done that he will be okay. He is such a brave soul :)

To be honest (apart from the Bruce Jenner interview I watched online), I've found books to be the most informative and helpful during my own transition. I do see a therapist (once every 3 months is all I can afford), but I'm being very careful about hormones and such. Since I know I will never be able to afford SRS, I guess I would identify myself as asexual at this point?

The public library (IMO) is the best place to go for info about being trans, and what sort of options are available - regardless of one's income status. Jenner's interview included the history of 3 trans people I admire most. And I first learned about each of them from books I found at the library: Christine Jorgensen, Renee Richards, and Chastity Bono. I hope this helps :)

P.S. And let's not forget the movies (thank you, Shale). I tend to be a visual person, so images speak louder to me than words big time. These 3 movies helped me to feel less lost and alone:

    1. Boys Don't Cry

    2. Transamerica

    3. The Naked Civil Servant

BTW, it's very odd to me that the gay community continues to claim Quentin Crisp as their own? I met him twice (and corresponded with him for over a decade before his death at 90), and he ultimately said that he felt life would have been much better for him had he been born a woman. But like me, he was forever poor (during his youth), so he accepted the label that society gave him. Quentin was trans, not gay. In the same way that Bruce Jenner is not gay :)
