I found numerous Americans in one business sector were the rudest, most vile persons I'd met in that sector. It even put me off America, a little. In another sector, the British (upper class) were the rudest, most vile pricks you'd ever meet. And the Americans were polite, respectful and down to Earth. I think America has a frontier mentality (where its "every man for himself" - ie a requirement to work very hard), which creates a pushiness/ rough edge. A bit like London too. Its funny, I find the people who spend so much time talking about manners etc are often the rudest, most charmless cocksuckers you'll ever meet. And some of the laziest parts of Europe actually have some of the rudest, most detestable inhabitants.
Funny how the Americans come out to defend themselves and their glorious nation. Come on Brits, let's see you are just as patriottic!
Because we don't like Americans and we never will. Those damn arrogant land-stealing, raping and murdering pieces of shit. :toilet:
This is not the standard American answer, but I'd say many of our best assets are natural. For those who enjoy spectacular natural beauty, only South America and Africa have more, and the US is a much more civilized place to travel.
Although my country lacks enormously in relatively pure natural beauty I think there is no lack of it in Europe at all. From Scandinavia to Greece and from Russia to Spain and in between, quite spectacular and diverse.
Asking me about patriotism, is like asking Stevie Wonder what optician to see. ie I couldn't really give a fuck. Britain:- Toffs = rudest pricks you'll ever meet. Spend a lot of time talking about manners, which is quite ironic. Muslims = charmless, tho not otherwise rude .Altho you won't speak to that many in a conversation longer than "chilli sauce on your kebab mate". London blacks - often very rude in E and S London. W and N Ldon= varies. Other blacks - varies by location Other whites - as above. I think Britain is gonna have problems in the years ahead. In terms of inter-cultural boil over. I don't go on about Britain being brilliant. I just see a lot of other countries that are really shit. Mentioning no names..
I think she was serious. I agree with her, however, to an extent. America does have some beautiful landscapes--anything you want, we have. Mostly, anyway. A lot of diversity in a small area.
Definately But that it's all in a relatively small area is mainly a perk for if you live there, so for americans themselves. If you like spectacular natural scenery and could go anywhere you'd go whatever suits you best. The whole thing is quite subjective anyway.
Can't beat the Grand Canyon or Niagara Falls, though the Canadian side of the falls is better than the American side. South America and Africa are undoubtedly the best, but not everyone is up to traveling in third-world countries.
So you even make natural beauty into a competition? And third world countries? Gee, are you really that ignorant or just trolling?
