If not DVT, then circulation problem - get one of those machines they keep advertising on the TV as a circulation booster.

BBC licence fee ‘to be axed’:
Is this the end - or - as following the suggestion by David Dimbleby suggests could be linked to council tax?
    Any thoughts ?

The Beeb has been underfunded for far too long a period. Along with this the management has trIed to keep both ends burning.
Diversifying too much has been; IMO it's downfall.

I remember 2 (until BBC2 ) channels, National and Local (commercial) channels on TV, and the viewing options limited.

Once the expansion of commercial channels (4 and 5) grabbed the attention of viewers it seemed to be the pivotal moment, and whilst the Beeb tried to compete, it was a footing that was never going to see longevity. Spreading itself out too thinly Paul was robbed for Peter - and vice versa, and managemnt went for all kinds of topics when it should have sought fewer areas of focus

    - SKY, BT, Netflix etc... have seen viewer choice (including - ironically -'classic' former BBC TV programmes) signal the Death knoll of the 'establishment' channel that relies solely on the General public for funding.
The reality is the channel has to do through a radical reformation - of which cuts are inevitable - adverts need to be a part of a solution and quality over quantity need to be the way forward - IMO

I totally agree with you Wolfy.

What about my big annoyance of free prescriptions?
They keep upping the age on everything.

I saw that - I was about to enjoy my free prescriptions too.
I've given up on medication on the whole and prefer Natural remedies.
    -
I see the (65) retirement age has risen, and now I'm looking at 67 to look forward to - if I can last that long - lol
