It was once a common sight--pet rabbits regulated to little hutches in backyards.
Thankfully, some people are beginning to realize there are problems with subjecting their domestic pets to lonliness, bad weather, insects, and possible animal attacks.
You can read more about the movement to improve domestic rabbits' lives at www.rabbit.org .

Ah an issue very close to my heart. :)

Of course in the warm weather rabbits (well ours anyway) love being outside, safely in a run or on a little rabbit leash (check them out, provide hours of fun)

Thanks for the link. It's a great site. I can across it a while ago but forgot the url.

There are quite a few great books about indoor rabbits. They are great apartment pets.

They make great pets period :)

While rabbits are better off indoors they should have access to outside. They love sunbathing and generally enjoying nature.
