Some pedophiles are campaigning for doing things like removing age of consent laws all together, and are encouraging and helping other pedophiles get away with and hide their crimes. A couple things about that.

Some pedophiles claim that their victims enjoy their sexual advances. And although maybe sometimes this is true, usually it isn't. And they just don't know which one of their victims enjoy it and which don't. And, I just don't see the urgency in breaking those laws now, even if somehow their were correct in this. Jack Kevorkian was breaking the law in Michigan by helping people end their lives. But that was different. They were in a lot of pain. And they need help now. They couldn't wait for the law to be changed. Big difference.

And lastly, if pedophiles think doing things like removing the age of consent is a good idea, why don't they just do things that work to accomplish that? Go door-to-door in their community to have people sign a petition, for example. To advocate breaking the law is usually illegal. But to simply advocate changing the law never is. Of course most people would just ignore them, probably slam the door in their face. And some might even get so angry they might do things like throw their coffee in their faces. In which case they would be the ones doing something wrong.

Simply going door-to-door to sign a petition is never illegal. But doing things like throwing hot coffee in someone's face always is. And they are the ones who should be arrested then.
