My guess is it's to build tension or to show that Walt and/or Skyler are running out of time before one or both of them get killed or Walt gets caught by the law. Just a guess.
this last episode was intense! They got some macgyver shit goin on for real yo! and the very end! OMG BRUTAl
They really crossed the line when they shot that 14 year old kid. I understand they had to do it but they lost all credibility with me so fuckāem if they all go down Which is what I suspect the writers are setting us up for ~sigh~ Hotwater
the stupidity of the handcuff escape using the coffee machine wires was just astounding i guess the writers dont understand how fuses and breakers work...or surge protected extension cords like the one they used
exactly what i was thinking. that shit would have cut off as soon as it sparked. I wouldve used some sharp pieces of the innards of the coffee maker. its like they're trying to make it too sciencey
I watched this the other day and was terribly underwhelmed it was so like I dunno uninteresting. I think to people who don't really get to see crime on a regular think ooooo he's so bad ass or what ever but to me it's like far from reality that I just can't get into it.
Sparking isn't necessarily going to create a massive surge of back current, is it? The excess energy is being let out through the spark.. And surge protectors only protect the circuits on the board in case of an overload.. Electrically, the only way what he did wouldn't have worked is if he properly completed the circuit. Right? I mean, I've sparked myself real good with shitty AC adapters and other fused wires; without blowing the circuit. What I was wondering is if the riot strips would really burn that easy.. As an aside cheap ones like that don't even necessarily do that; I've had a surge protector blow out two power supplies to my computer; since then I've always used high-rated, insured Belkin protectors.
It's not about being badass (although there are really badass parts). It's about being bad. It's about the way crime and criminals can corrupt everything they touch. It's not really a show you can pick up in the middle and understand. Walt went from being a fairly boring, very domestic high school teacher with a lovely little family; to a heartless, single-minded well, villain. Jesse went from being a punk druggie that just wants to have a good time and get high, to having blood on his hands and involvement in an empire that has spilled a lot more blood. Not to mention how other people have been affected by it's wake, particularly Skyler.
I have a breaking bad addiction, my friend emails me to tell me when the next episode is on - having been laid up for roughly 6 months and taking a lot more than I would like in bed rest, I have seen heaps of american series- this is my favourite hands down. :2thumbsup:
But a real question for the rest of you: In real life, would you ever have actual sympathy for someone exactly like Walt? A guy who has cancer and won't leave much for his family decides to cook a life and family destroying substance and sell it on the black market?
i didnt even notice they were riot cuffs.. but still...if you think it would actually work just take a wire off some broken thing and try it ...actually just take one small strand from each side and try to spark them...if your breaker doesnt flip your house is crazy dangerous
Most people sympathize with the protagonist and hope the best for them in the end regardless what they do. Something I noticed
Sure my heart goes out to him, when they made lot's of cash and people started getting killed he should have 'in real life' stopped ... Its a show and I love the fact his turning into a cold hearted ass... Brings the reality home in the long run, drug dealing would change even the most upright of people..
my mom's house uses fuses. when I was like 12 I was an experimental kid, I'm lucky I've not killed us all. I used to jam bolts and stuff in the fuse socket to complete the circuit so I could run like six space heaters at once upstairs. She also used to have to buy fuses in bulk packs too, just becausewe would run too much shit like the normal mid ninetie's american did. But, yeah, BBAD, don't tell people to do that. it's dangerous.
