On the FB page of Skeptoid there was a long article on why organic labelled is a waste of money. I commented if organic food is a waste of money, what about breakfast cereals where you pay for air? The writer liked my comment. I made a similar reply on another science FB page. My comment was removed and I could not make any other comment until a third part intervened on my behalf.
Nope! Just like anything else, people have a choice. And right now, I’m going to fix myself a big bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios
To be fair that facebook page must be skeptical of everyone's comments. Generally i look at the ingredients on the box. Then i think that making my own granola is the best thing to do.
No the second FB page was hacked obviously by the agri-chemical consortium. They benefit from crops made into breakfast cereals.
passion without logic does not prevent error. passion over profit is only not a sales pitch when there is no money involved. it is possible of course, to have varying degrees of concern, inspite of chaising dollars, but any claim of prioritising it, is seriously questionable at best. and yes of course this does not begin and end with sugar coated mystery grains. people need to realize that lttle green pieces of paper are not a logical yard stick, but also that using it as one has become so familiar that also a lot of people don't seem to realize this. but anyway "facebook"? really? is that the sacred text of some internet religion now?
When you grow up where I did--you can get a little anxious when you see the chemicals applied to veggies, fruits and grains. 32 miles south of Fresno.
