thats true, they're pretty good on gas.. i'm hoping i'll get a few months out of it... i just checked again, because i wasn't the one who checked in the first place, and it's actually 399k not 380k lol, even worse...

but my moms trying to convince me that the engines rebuilt... but she knows even less about cars than i do. Just because the engine looks clean, doesn't mean it's rebuilt... Who would spend thousands on rebuilding a '95 Honda Civic engine, yet not bother to give it a paint job? Then go ahead and sell it for only 1,000$? Doesn't make sense to me...

Is there any way to find out if the engine is rebuilt or not? I can't ask the guy we got it from because i don't even know him and he was just a middle man...

 

my lumina engine been rebuilt twice.. its a 2000 something. old car.

 

Is there a way to tell if an engines been rebuilt though? Like just by looking at it? You'd think there would be a year stamped onto the engine, so if it's newer than '95 then it's been rebuilt, but where would that be?

I am moving to Colorado in less that 2 weeks now...I need to clean my entire room and start packing. I'm kind of nervous, this is a huge change for me. I hope I find new friends out there - I think I will. I hope I can find a job, too... and I hope I don't get homesick and want to come back to KC, because that will just be weird.

I also won't have a car out there, so I am hoping I can get a job that will be accessible for me.

do you actually think they re stamp an engine after a re build...cause they dont.....a rebuid IS NOT a new engine...it is new engine parts[pistons,rings]

for the last time....you only paid a grand[or 400] for a running used honda...it is a fantastic deal....you havnt mentioned if it is certified yet..is it?...if it is/was came certified than it is even a better deal....



you asked who would rebuild a car and then not bother painting it...i will tell you...everybody thats who....

..bbad had rebuilt many a vehicle but i have never heard him say he then paints them...what a fuckin joke....no one paints there cars after a rebuild unless you are keeping it...stop with bitching about how your mom fuckrd you over because she bought you a car....she obviously cares a great deal about you and you thank her by bad mouthing your own mother on a social forum......

Tell ya what scariest but yet the most exciting time was for me was moving across the world to Aus....... it was the first time I had ever flown get that!!

But ya I was shitting myself selling everything off, I even had a back up plan with a few friends, in case I went all the way there and it failed type thing I knew I had somewhere to go.

You can do it, everything is new and you will make friends, life is about taking chances.

Ah I see, yes I thought rebuilding an engine meant putting an entirely new engine in it, so I thought there would be a manufactures date stamped onto it, but I get what you mean..

And I'm unsure of what you mean by cetrified, but here we have a thing called air care, which you have to get your car passed trough in order to be able to drive it, legally.. So I think that's the same thing, if so then yes it's actually air cared until 2014

And whaat? I never once insulted my own mom for getting me a car, I am extremely greatful that I have a car, if it runs well, I was only saying how it probably wasn't the best move to buy something withouth checking it out first at all, which I'm sure you agree with. Would you just at the outside of the car and be like "alright I'll take it" without checking anything out? I think not. But who knows, maybe it'll turn out to be an awesome car, I don't even know, I haven't even gotten the chance to drive it yet because the windshields still cracked.

 

I need a new car like I need a hole in my head.. however, should you of got a horse ida been jealous..
