That's true, i'm unsure if i should spend around $1,000 getting it painted, seeing as how i only paid $1,000 for the car in the first place but i got it checked out by a mechanic (also a family friend lol) and everythings in pretty good condition apparently.. So if i'm going to have it for a few years i might want to paint it..

And the windsheilds a must, since it's cracked down the middle which is for some reason illegal.. lol



....now i just need my damn licences i only have my learners permit still... Just 25 more days until i can go take the test, if i fail again i'm going to be fuckin pissed haha

that's the same car I got for my first (still drive it, still runs) 5th gen civic. they are good cars. looks like you got an LX or DX. d16y6 engine i believe...pretty shitty, but they last for ever if you do routine oil changes and don't drive the piss out of it too much.

I got my car (2door EX) with like 135k miles and it has 169k right now. Leaks only a little bit of oil and is pretty reliable.

Civics will easily hit 200k even if you give it little respect.
Don't worry about the paint dude, my paint was FUCKED from oxidation and over the years I've been hit by a pumpkin (asshole high school kids), my car has rolled down a hill (I was inside a house) and took out a mailbox, been rear-ended, sideswiped, doordinged, falling debris (tornadoes/torrential storms), took a dive down a ditch....there's probably more but you get the point. Until you have driven for a while, your car is probably going to take some damage.

And if your car looks shitty, people will be more inclined to not give a fuck about slamming their shitty car into your shitty car.

Getting a crappy 1,000 dollar paint job won't stop those assholes, or yourself, from ruining it again.

Spend 700 and get a boss sound system to annoy your neighbors instead. At least you can salvage that and sell it separate later.

The funny thing is Honda folk make fun of Toyotas...so you're pretty much at the lower end of the spectrum, right there above Hyundai.

The millage on this is sooo shitty though, 399k (kilometers though not miles) my mom actually picked up the car without me there, and obviously she didn't know anything about the car before she bought it..... who the fuck buys a car that has 399k on it? hahaha... she paid a grand for it, but i only had to give her $400... so really, even if the car only lasts me 1-2 years.. that's decent for 400 bucks..

But i had the engine looked at, and apparently everything was extremely well maintained, and a lot of things in it are brand new, if i keep it maintained and use it just for getting to university and work and back, plus a few other places i may go here and there, it should last me a few years..

that's a good point though, mine as well not waste the money on paint when i'll just fuck it all up again anyways lol, but it looks so.... ugly.. you can't see it in the pictures because of the light, but the hood, roof, and trunk is all has all the paint chipped off and stuff..

i sleep in so late too and it sucks, because soon as i get out of bed i have to get ready for work, then i dont get home from work until midnight, so it just kills my day

ugh... no work for me today.. woke up at 7am.. before my alarm went off.. in absolute pain.. i could barely get out of bed.. i sat around hoping it would maybe decrease a bit.. painfully got dressed for work.. got to work.. back spasms were so bad by the time i made it into work.. i couldn't even get dressed.. so i went to urgent care... they gave me some shot that hasn't done jack shit.. still in a deal of pain.. boss was pissy with me because he was cooking this pancake breakfast thing since 6am.. and well now he's short me.. the opener.. and has his worthless cousin as his other cook unless he can get someone to come in.. but he had no reason to get pissy with me.. the professionalism of the management of my work place is beyond pathetic
