I went to orientation, only to be told Sternly by this (pissy) young woman "The name on the social security card and the picture id Must. Match. Exactly. We do NOT accept a W2 for a form of id."

I pled with her (sort of) but knew even as I did it, it was useless. I thought for a moment she might pop me. lol She went on to say "I KNOW the government is shut down, but you're just going to have to wait until they can issue you a replacement card. We can't complete the paperwork or hire you until then."

... no other employer has had a problem with this social security card ...

Yeah fast food managers deal with allot of turnover. Most people will keep the job a few months and no show. So unfortunately you are probably already in that category in her eyes. They are not going to be patient.

She was at the office at the headquarters here in my city. The manager at the store told me they probably would not have a problem, then she said You Go There. Looking back, I think she knew they probably would indeed have a problem. ha So, of course I went like she told me this morning. (The manager/boss lady I'll be (thinking positive) working for really seems to want me there and is nice, telling me not to give up.)

The young woman completing the paperwork on everybody that McDs hires in this area is the one I had the opportunity to "work with" this morning. lol I was one of 10 people, or 12...lots of people crowded in at the last. I was 1st. yay me. She was interested in No Crap to start her morning, and Could Not Break The Rules! buhbye

 

think because I got some solid sleep?

i did 2 sinks of dishes. yay me. if i can get all the counters cleared i will have room to rearrange the cabinets. feels like the start of "fall cleaning"
