I guess you're thinking about ebola? I think there's lots of countries and places in Africa that are fit to visit for tourists, although not sure about Botswana at the moment.
Sarcasm, well have to admit id think twice at the moment. Not that ive ever really had any interest in visiting africa
I'd only go for safari adventure and I'd always wanted to visit Egypt. =] But I won't because it's just not a part of the world a white girl should be traveling to.
Right now I think it's only Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea that have serious outbreaks. Nigeria had a few cases, but they were controlled. The Ebola outbreak is serious and could become an African pandemic, but right now SA is not at especially high risk. Besides this, the shit that gets you is usually the ordinary stuff like car crashes.
And eaten by lions and trampled by elephants. And the old coconut falling from a tree. Doink your head. You're dead.
I think certain parts of Egypt, like Sharm Al Shaik are overall pretty save to visit. 'White people', including females continue to go there on sun vacations . I'm not sure but I think it's the same for the great pyramid.
Lots of people seem to go to Tunisia for a holiday (at least people from around here, west europe btw). I had a roommate who went on holiday with his family to Tunisia last year. His mom got robbed from her necklace when they were walking on some boulevard.. I also have some friends who went there for (mainly) a beach holiday and they had a good time. That's too bad, care to elaborate? Egypt is still somewhere on my list. Which part(s) did you visit?
