Yeah I was there too, as I was at GCHQ, at Saltley Coke Depot and dozens of other pickets and demonstrations throughout the 60s, 70s, 80s & 90s. I was also at Aldermaston on the 'first' CND rally as an 8 yr old !!!

I had my own dispute in Hertfordshire when we were sacked because management found out that me and another member were in the union. They made us redundant but it was unlawful. We finished up with jobs in Fleet Street

I used to attend TUC Conferences back in the day - over lunch, I watched and heard Brenda Dean and (???) stitch up a deal that saw the unions amalgamated some months later.

Um You are from where you are born, That's like saying Donald Trump's Mother is from Scotland, but Donald Trump is not Scottish even if he moved to Scotland.

Yeah, and Trump isn't Scottish because his mother emigrated and became a U.S. citizen.
If she hadn't, he'd be Scottish. If she was just visiting America and gave birth to him, he'd be Scottish. It's about nationality of parents.

Boris is the perfect example of how a leader should not act. He is the UK's version of Trump. Not to mention he is a racist. The UK is in trouble. Some people where I live are expecting martial law in November. Holyrood shut down and food/medicine shortages. Scary times.

Britain is fooling themselves if they think they can resist the fascists, who might as well represent your own banks. The same banks that helped to put the entire world in debt using nothing more than blue smoke and mirrors, and almost never spent a single day in jail for blatant widespread fraud. America sides with the banks, and Britain either follows suit or gets eaten alive. When tiny Iceland threw the bums in jail, the US and the EU both protested loudly, in part, because Iceland got away with what they never could.

I know where Johnson was born. It was in New York but so what? Like Trump Johnson is a liar, corrupt, and unsuited to be Prime Minister. Not to mention embraces racist ideas. Don't even get me started on the so called "Keep Britain British" campaign of a few years ago. Point is, mate, only the mega rich and posh arseholes will survive Brexit.

The international conglomerates will cripple your economy, along with corrupting all your politicians, and remind you that over half of all cargo ships carry contraband, and the entire world economy is based on blue smoke and mirrors. Iceland got away with defying them, but they mostly fish and export cheap aluminum they smelt with geothermal energy. They got hit pretty hard when bitcoin crashed, because it was one of the few ways they could stimulate their economy more. The US would have bombed them off the map, but there's nowhere else to buy cheap aluminum and no damned way they are ever gonna grow or become a problem. They are Ursula Le Guin's "Dispossessed".

You don't mention Iceland in polite company.

You can run, but you cannot hide from the banks who will persist in pushing the issue and corrupting your entire political system.
