Boozers Live CCTV Feed Of Garden And Down To The Sea.

Just seen a thread I love.
I guess you know how I love history.

 

Note the record in the bottom left hand corner, That was the soundtrack of the film. One record and a roll of film ran for 9 minutes, in which time I had to set the next part up on the other projector. The lamp burnt carbons as an open flame and they had to be changed too.

Common mistakes were.
Showing the rolls in the wrong order.
Getting the sound records and film rolls mixed up,
Forgetting to change a carbon electrode and the lamp went out after a few minutes.

I had to run a complete show on my own one day when the projectionist did not turn up, including opening curtains and dimming lights. I was 13 years old.

My worst ever mistake was opening the film "Whisky Galore", with the first sound track of "King Solomon's Mines". The opening picture was of a morose old guy walking along the road (minus his bottle of whiskey).....While the soundtrack played. "As the herds of wild elephants team across the planes of Africa".

I still get my leg pulled about that one today. (58 years later). The audience were falling off their seats with laughter, while the manager was jumping up and down like a rubber ball.
How I ended up running a royal film premier 10 years later even puzzles me at times.

But I still manage to forget to put my shoes in the car and arrive at a board meeting in my bedroom slippers.
Needless to say, no one takes a blind bit of notice.

What are you on about?
I said in post 38 that as I was going to have me lunch and then do some gardening the cameras would be off for a while!
I fink!

So I have had my lunch, done some gardening and a few odd jobs and it has been very nice to log back in here only to see some very nice posts from some of my bestest friends here on this forum.
Just for that the cameras are back on, and not only that I have added another camera which is placed just over our rear of living room patio door.
Not that it shows an awful lot as it is in a quiet place, but for security it does a job for us.

Thank you for having a look at the streams folks.
It is sort of hazy sunshine out there at the moment 11.28AM and only 15c, but it is forecast to get to 19c later, and then I will go out and sit on that hammock and have me breakfast.
Mind you.
For that period I always turn the cameras off.
I mean.
You don't want to see me having my breakfast out in the garden now.
