Has anyone ever made their own alcohol? I was wondering if you have any hints or tips, as I want to give it a try, although I don't really know very much about it. Does adding yeast to fruit and leaving it to rot/ferment create a good alcoholic drink, or is it more complicated than that? I'd appreciate any advice or info anyone has on this subject!

Not really, I just think it'd be really fun (and probably cheap) to make my own wine, beer or whatever.

My senior year of high school, saddam had dumped a shitload od oil into the sea, to muck up the saudi desalinization plants, so one of my teachers taught us to make alcohol, and when he was done he added..."If you do the same thing to salt water it will distill into drinkable water." got everyone to pay attention.....
