The Georgia Nicolson books are hilarious. When I read them I would constantly start laughing hysterically which made people think I was insane.
dress your family in courduroy and denim by david sedaris was the funniest book I've ever read. I don't usually laugh out loud while reading books, but this one had me practically rolling on the floor
anything by Carl Hiaasen is a guaranteed gut-splitter... Skinny Legs and All, Double Whammy.....just about everything also, The Cantebury Tales are hilarious...especially the Wife of Bath's tale.....crude, rude, and funny
O it's cheaper by the douzen ... I saw the 1 and the 2 in the cinema and i have both books their hilarious... Get it it's like for only 17$
Anything by Augusten Burroughs or David Sedaris... I also think Stephen King's books are quite funny, he uses sarcasm well.
I really enjoyed Heroic failures by Stephen Pile, the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy and of course Catch 22
Fraud by David Rakoff Me Write Book by Graham Roumieu Toothpaste for Dinner (archives from the website) by Drew Lost In Place; Growing Up Absurd in Suburbia by Mark Salzman Yiddish With George and Laura by Ellis Weiner
Anything by the zany Spike Milligan. I always end up howling with laughter when I read his books. He has a really quirky sense of humour that appeals greatly to me. He's not to everyone's taste, as he can be really off the wall.
'The Collected Bulletins of President Idi Amin' (as taken down verbatim in the pages of Punch each week by Alan Coren).
Oh, I hope you've read Good Omens! So funny.... In addition to Good Omens, I laughed through.... The Princess Bride Tricky Business (Dave Barry! Yay!) Bridget Jones Diary The Liar by Stephen Fry
Lamb by Christopher Moore... the hilarious story of Jesus's missing years (13-30) as told by his best friend, Biff. Christopher Moore's other novel are great too, but Lamb is his best.
oh I heard about Lamb, my cousin said it was great. The Areas of My Expertise by John Hodgman is fucking hilarious. Its just a compendium of made up facts that the PC guy wrote. Any Chuck Palahniuk, but especially Haunted and Fight Club. And of course, Kurt Vonnegut is the king.
If you really want a quick and Laugh Out Loud funny book (has to do with life in general and life in the south specifically) read: "Yes, the River Knows" by Tracy Dunham (I e-mailed this author through the website given when I looked her up and she even replied!
