"The Milagro Beanfield War" John Nichols - dry humor, but funny nonetheless...

Three Men in a Boat is one of my most favorite books ever. It is so hilarious. I also thought that Catch-22 was funny and any book by Woody Allen.

The funniest book I've read lately was Lucky You by Carl Hiaasen. I was actually laughin' out loud while reading it which is pretty unusual for me.

Been mentioned already but 'Cat's Cradel' by Kurt Vonnegut had me laughing most. 'Slaughterhouse 5' I find sadder and sadder everytime I pick it up for some reason, the only part which will get me laughing (and serious out loud laughter) nowadays is where he's all kitted out in his golden boots and pink curtain walking through the streets of Dresden!

I'm reading Danny Wallace's 'Big Fish' at the moment and that's had me chucklying a fair bit :D

Fear and Loathing and The Hitchiker's Guide and Lies are all excellent, funny-ass books. I am also very fond of Stupid White Men and Dude, Where's My Country both by Michael Moore. And Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins.

Loved lot's of those named above (Cat's Cradle; Hitchiker's Guide; Jitterbug Perfume; Fear and Loathing; Dude, Where's My Country - all great reads).

Also thought The Illuminatus! Trilogy was awsome and also Schrodinger's Cat :)

I can't recall the author, but a book called Lord of the Barnyard made me laugh harder than any book I've ever read.

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is definitely a funny one, too. As is the Illuminatus Trilogy.

Yeah. I agree. I just read it last month, actually; and it instantly became a favorite.

I adore Bill Bryson. All his books make me laugh so loudly - not good to read them in public :) The Lost Continent was the first of his I read - It was fantasticly funny, and the rest are just great. I smile just thinking of them.

    David Brin's The Practice Effect.

A little trite and the story is a little loose in it's ending but otherwise it's supremely funny!
