I have been two bonnaroo on two occassions, once in 2003 and again last summer. I had a great time in 2003 but last summer was TERRIBLE! not in terms of music, but just the atmosphere in general. i got the idea that a large portion of the crowd was more interested in taking drugs (which were bunk... but thats a whole nother problem with bonnaroo) then enjoying the music. the crowds were lame at some of the shows, especially in the tents. the kids in front of the stage were just smoking bowls not even dancing and everyone that wanted to dance could barely see the stage, whats up with that? bonnaroo is a music and art festival.... or at least thats what it was in 2003, unfortunately a lot of shady people have ruined my experience with bonnaroo, and i dont plan on ever going back... there are better festivals out there for those of us who enjoy the MUSIC!

lamo, you must of been in the wrong camp ground and bought shit from the wrong people...your fault. and no one is obligated to dance, theres other shows going on at the same time if you cant "dance" at one then leave go find another to watch and dance. its that easy.

Yeah..I've only bought bunk once out of all the Roo's so far. It's what you make of it man. I went by myself last year thinking it was gonna suck, but I had the best time out of all them so far. Met some great people..had a blast.
