First, be prepared for a swamp. It's happened the past two years, mud everywhere. I found that a pair of river shoes from Wal Mart makes the weekend a lot more fun than trying to slop around in shoes and socks, and sandals will get stuck in the mud. You will be doing a very substantial amount of walking. Unless you walk a couple of miles a day, (as in, you probably don't have a car and walk to work/school) then there's a good chance your inner thighs are going to schaffe. Bring Gold Bond for that.

Besides all of the really big names, Damien Marley apparently puts on a good show, don't know, but his album's hot. There's a group called Toubab Krewe coming out of Asheville. They're a fusion-jam type thing, mixing Eastern instruments with your regular rock band instruments.

In case this is your first big festival, rule 1 of course is drink PLENTY of water.

Good luck, have fun, and be safe.
