You don't get it, AI is the future because it defies everything we know about logic and physics. Our current fuzzy logic can be 100,000x more efficient, while quantum systems can be 125% efficient. Its not just software, but hardware, and they are attempting to entangle the two, blurring the lines between energy and information. IBM's Watson surprised everyone yet again, when he acquired an unsolicited case of potty mouth. He was deliberately designed not to resemble a human mind and brain to avoid just this sort of complication. Humor is intrinsic to nature, because 42 is as good as it gets, and lowbrow slapstick is intrinsic to existence. The harder they try to make the machines do what they want, the less efficient they become, with Watson proving to be good on Jeopardy, but horrible for much of anything else, precisely because they wanted a machine they could control.

They are going down the rabbit hole fast, and the Pentagon is very likely pulling their hair out as we speak. They've known this day was coming since the Vietnam War, and still have no idea what the hell to do.
