What do you think is the most ideal body fat percentage from a purely aesthetic perspective for men and women based on the charts below? Men: Women:
Men, I usually gravitate towards 12-25% Women vary depending on their shape, I think. I find 25-35% to be pretty attractive, though personally I tend to gravitate more toward the lower end. And I know that makes me sound way shallow, but hey, taking care of yourself matters.
Men: 15%, I like that photo. Nice, but not show-offy. Women, varies. I think different levels suit different bodies. Anywhere from 15-30 looks nice.
I feel like I've been between 10-15% most of my adult life, but I wouldn't say I looked all muscular like that. Now I think I'm probably between 25% and 30% and I absolutely love it. But still I think people can be attractive in all sizes.
I think anywhere from 10-14% looks best on men. On women anywhere from 15-35% can look sexy, though would say 15-25% is ideal. I think the men's chart is off a bit. I would say the third picture is closer to 8-10%, and the fourth is more like 10-12%.
thread reminds me of CNN network where they show a couple of pictures to everyone and know the percentage of whats real. all these people are ugly except for what r0llinstaond said. of course that's not true. wtf am I looking at anways.
25-35% on women is fine to me. Based on these pictures, I'm guessing I at around 25-30%. How do you even measure that? I know like treadmills have a guage for this and how much body fat you lose during workout. From punching in a height and weight.. don't seem to genuine. =\
Girl at 35 looks good. They can go down easy in weight. Over 50% with no control people don't change obese are kinda fucked... Girl at 35% from that dumb image looks good to me.
Calipers are used to measure body fat. It can be measured more accurately with a DEXA scan. The pictures in the OP are likely a rough estimate and not exact. Treadmills tell you how many CALORIES you've burned, and they rarely provide an accurate number. A treadmill or stationary bike might tell you that you've burned 1,000 calories in an hour, when in reality that number might be closer to 300. It does not take into account the person's metabolic rate.
I can't understand how much body fat pertentages I might have from these photos because none of these photos matches the way I look.
These pictures are bullshit. Bellies are so small in pictures. I don't think a man who has 35 percent body percentage will have that small belly. When a man's body is as wide as the picture at 35 percent, the belly looks so much bigger. These pictures are bullshit. This is why none of the pictures matches the way I look. Maybe I must only consider how wide the bodies looks in pictures instead of the size of bellies? At 35 percent, body looks very wide but the belly on that body looks too small for a body as wide as that.
are you saying the people in the pictures aren't really people? humans have different body types. some fat guys are fat all around, and some are mostly skinny but with a big old beer belly. some large women have fat evenly spread, and some have gorgeous upper bodies and are huge from the waist down. and other such examples.
Show me one single man in real life who has that small belly by being as wide as the man in 35 percent body fat photo . The man's body is so wide and he has damn small belly by having that wide body. There is no such belly in real life. A man who is as wide as the man in that photo doesnt have a belly like that in real life. You can't find me one single man like that in real life. There is no belly like that in a man who is that wide. If he gained that much weight by just eating, how come this belly is that small? Look at the man. He is so wide. He is really so wide, which is because of his weight, and a small belly for that wide body. If fat people's belly was like that, they would seem much less bad when you look at their bodies. He was supposed to have a real big belly. He is so wide. Look at the man.
