Bob Marley's music is so special. I'm a huge connoissuer of music, I love it all, classical, rock, metal, blues, everything. But I always come back to Bob. His music and his message was so special. I've partied to it, danced to it, made love to it, cried to it, got high to it, played along with it, and worked it into a wedding. It's universal. There's just no comparison. Marley is so special. It's encompasses every emotion and every occassion. Post me some fuckin Bob Marley and dig it! Scombabahbada badda bah bam. Scombabadah baddambumbum. Why yoh yoh. Why yoh yoh yoh. Why yoh yoh yahyah yah yah yah.

I love Bob Marley, but it's slightly annoying how his image has been exploited for commercial purposes. I tend to define my favorite output from him based on his full-length albums vs. individual songs. It seems like most people are only familiar with his popular songs, and while I admit some of his most popular songs are among some of his best, there are also a lot of lesser-known tracks that don't get the attention I feel they deserve. Also, there is so much great music from Jamaica that is as good as Marley's, if not better, yet it doesn't receive anything close to the amount of attention Marley's music receives because it doesn't coincide with an image that is as marketable.
The Gladiators' version is equally great. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=co-HMblkjnE"]soul rebel - the gladiators (subtitulado al español) - YouTube
I don't really come back to his music anymore. I prefer fellow artists like Johnny Clarke and Prince Far I.

That's my favorite Marley tune. I love the part where the chicks in the background go "Ahaaah ah ah".
Rastafari believe that this dead ethiopean ruler is christ. Also, marley was good at soccer and loved the sport
He has been exploited to the hilt..seems everything reggae goes back to Bob Marley, there is so much more, also the relation of marijuana and bob marley is overrated and overused.
