Bob Marley is like a national hero in jamaica and if it wasnt for Marley i dont think i would have found Rastafari or Reggae music at all.

I think Bob Marley is the best musician of all time just because even when its just him sitting with a guitar he has such a sense of power and life about him, even towards the end.

Look up the song 'Dew Drops' on youtube and you will see what i mean, some of the best Reggae vocals ive heard with a possible exception of Joe Higgs or Ken Parker.

My favorite Bob Marley albumss are Catch A Fire, Survival, and of course, Uprising. You really can't go wrong with any of them though. Kaya, Burnin', Natty Dread and Exodus . . . just get them all.

It's insane to put Marley and overrated in one sentence. I find something in every song by Bob, i just can't find a song that i wouldn't like.
I suggest you to get a discography and just listen to it all.

Why do people always forget to mention Peter Tosh(Winston Hubert Mcintosh) and Bunny Livingston? I mean, Robert Nesta Marley was a figure head...and so the band became "Bob Marley and the Wailers" rather than remaining as it should as just "The Wailers." Peter Tosh taught Marley how to play the guitar in the first place, and all around is a better musician, granted most would agree that Marley's voice is more melodic.

I just wish people stopped saying Bob Marley this and Bob Marley that....give the rest of them some credit....

(Not to take anything away from Mr. Marley...he's an amazing musician)

Here's Tosh on the vocals (with the rest of em...)
