When you have derogatory phrases like: "Go eat a dick," "Suck my cock," "Blow me," etc. I can sort of see where the myth of it being a degrading act to women would come from. However, this idea is very false. I think blow jobs EMPOWER women. If anything, when a girl gives me real good oral sex my muscle movements and vocal sounds become totally involuntary, and by breathing pattern changes. She takes over my bodily functions with her mouth, making him do certain things. When a girl gives a guy a blow job, she dominates him! (Whoever is at the giving end of the oral sex is the dominant one)
What exactly is this in response to? Any sex act can be degrading or not degrading-- it depends on how you approach it.
It also depends on what reasons it's happening for. If it's for love and relationship then no sex actions would be degrading for either side as long as it consensual. Not sure I understand the thread either. And does it empower them anymore then a man sucking pussy is empowered?
This isn't a response, but a statement. I've seen the topic of blow jobs being degrading to women bounce around all over the Internet. 2nd wave feminism is mostly to blame in my opinion. As well as the derogatory statements in post 1. I dated a girl a long while back, and I'd give her cunnilingus all the time and she never returned the favor. So I decided to stop doing sexual things with her all together. She eventually did it, but she wasn't the best. She found that she actually liked doing it and sometimes asked if she could please me. Idk if she was just selfish and thougt it was degrading at the time. So I made this thread to clear the air and see what others thought.
I'm proud I'm good at giving head and I'm happy I enjoy doing it. And so is my husband. Somebody finds it degrading? It's his right.
Unless it's a kink. I think moreso the comments are used because anything feminine is devalued in society.
Why would it be degrading and how is it different to eating pussy? I think some people are reading too much into things. I like giving head, and he might tell me to suck his cock, but I will also tell him to go down on me. Or should you just say nothing and expect your partner to read your mind?!
Ask nicely and I'll do just about anything. Tell me to do it ....... au revoir!! however once we are actually into it, such phrases as mentioned in OP are part of lovemaking - provided they're said in fits of passion and not ordering me.
Perhaps it is all in the delivery. I have never wanted to, or knowingly made a women feel degrade for giving me a blow job. How stupid would that be? I am eternally grateful for such pleasures and do my best to show my gratitude..
