We will practice like the Druids,
    drinking potent, amber fluids,
    runnin' naked through the woo-oods,
    it's good enough for me!

    Gimme that old time religion,
    Gimme that old time religion,
    Gimme that old time religion,
    It's good enough for me!

We're off for a weekend of maypole, naked fire jumping, celebration of Bel and general merriment.

    Peace.

The great thing about Beltaine in MD is that there was a celebration this weekend, and there will be one almost every night htis week, and there will another big one next weekend.

It's like a travelling fertility circus, with camping and bonfires.

i have to admit i really don't enjoy beltane. it's my least favorite of sabbats. first of all, i'm already so fertile i get pregnant if a guy so much as sneezes at me, and considering i've already got 2 kids and don't plan on having more i hardly find it a cause for celebration. i also always end up feeling left out and alone on beltane, with its emphasis on sex, couples and relationships. right now i just prefer being single. beltane always makes me feel alone and left out.

That's Newgrange, in the Boyne Valley of Co. Meath (Ireland)

do you know it? :) it is a really famous burial chamber that pre-dates the pyramids.

I absolutely do! I know of Newgrange and of the runes and symbols found there that are named for it. And hello again IH, long time no chat.
