all soap dries your skin, and Dr B's MUST be diluted. You said even while pregnant. How long ago did you give birth, and are you still breastfeeding? What sort of cosmetics do you use? If you get blackheads that don't go to whiteheads, you might try an aspirin scrub: two-three crushed tablets with a few drops of water, scrub, leave on 15-20 minutes before rinsing.
almost 2 yrs ago,and no i didnt breast feed i was too sore.i use swiss facial wash, and nutrogena cleanser.no i hardly every get spots as such, but the black heads are theyre all the time.and my skin gets oily.ill try the asprins and she how it goes, thank you
Soon as I let my hair dread my skin cleared up pretty much instantly. Thinking it was any of the following : No shampoo and conditioner running on my face in the shower anymore? No hair in my face really anymore? Increased use in natural products? (sea salt. lemon, bonners) Happier me?
keep of the dust, clean your face every night , and use oil free products, because oil are the number one contributor of white and black heads...
I've been using a product that I think would qualify as using oils to dissolve oils. There are other versions of this same thing I think, but specifically it's called Sweet Japanese Girl by a company called Lush. It's shaped like this kind of Japanese candy and it's sort of cute, haha. But it's this bar that you rub on your face dry, and the temperature of your skin kind of melts the oils onto your face. You then kind of have to steam it off or use a washrag with warm water to wipe it off, or a combination of both -- it doesn't rinse off on its own at all. And it's really been helping with my blackheadage.
yeah, i have similar problems. i've got massive blackheads everywhere, and i've got lots of little whitehead bumps that pretty much stay deep below the surface, and only rarely turn into fullblown pimples. usually only after i pick at them. and when i do get fullblown pimples, they're generally large and very deep, with LOTS of junk in them. my skin is so gross a lot of the time. i've tried bronners tea tree and peppermint, i've tried st ive's apricot scrub (which is necessary, because my face seems to need CONSTANT exfoliation, even though i DO use moisturizer after washing), i've tried medicated stuff, non medicated stuff, etc. etc. i think mine must be stress related. the BEST my skin has been was on the three weeks we were on our way west, and was probably the least stressful time of my life since i was say.... 5. lol...
the best skin discovery I've ever made is witch hazel. fixes everything! I tend to experiment a lot with different products and stuff ... but witch hazel is what I keep coming back to.
yeah, i've been using that too, as a toner. i've been doing medicated st. ive's apricot (it's not much of a scrub, and dries my face out for the acne) in the mornings, and regular exfoliatory st ives apricot scrub in the evenings... but it's still not working that well for me. does the lush thing you're using really work that well? it's kinda expensive (i just googled it), which i'm willing to pay if it really works, but i don't wanna buy something that's just not gonna work, ya know? lol.... the charcoal one looked interesting, have you ever tried that?
my experience with it was AMAZING. definitely worth it. my skin can be dry/flaky, but is also often really really oily and I get like ... swarms of blackheads. I get the same kind of beneath-the-surface whiteheads as you're describing. I think the problem I had with most products is that I can't dry my skin out TOO much, but I can't moisturize too much either because it's so oily on its own. another detail about the soap is that it has some really scrubby exfoliating bits in it. which was excellent for me, but I thought I'd warn you anyway. I've never tried the charcoal one, but I am thinking about it -- I've heard a lot of good reviews of that one from people, but supposedly it is a bit harsher on the skin. The only other one I've tried from there is the angels on bare skin one ... I liked it well enough, but I couldn't use it every day because it was too ... rich. Plus it kind has a very limited shelf life, so that was kind of a bummer. but yeah, from my experience SJG is definitely worth the buy. it pairs really well with witch hazel as a toner too.
awesome! i might bite the bullet and buy some. nice to know someone else has the crazy skin i have, and something works! and i LOVE exfoliants, so i'm sure i'll really like the scrubby bits. maybe i'll order both that one and the charcoal one, and alternate them. i like to do a dryer one in the morning and a less dry one at night. seems to help somewhat with the problem of oily/dry skin. it's such a mess, lol! ps. i'm :blush5: that you think i'm foxy!
Definately! I'm a guy and I have started to use them I just need to time it so none of my friends come round mid process lol.
I've come to terms with my blackheads. I've tried those pore strip thingies but they don't do anything. And I don't get pimples that much but the only time it bothers me is when it's between my eyebrows. Awkward.
Soak Fuller’s earth powder in water for half an hour. Add honey and lemon juice to it and apply the mixture on face. Wait for 15 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water. Then give a cold water rinse.
Soak multani mitti powder in rose water for half an hour. When soaked well, add orange juice and honey and mix them well. A fine paste is obtained. Apply this paste on face, and let it dry. Then wash with lukewarm water. Then give a cold water rinse.
